We booked this hotel for an overnight stay in Royan. We were given a room on the top floor, with a balcony and view of the harbour and beach. It was a lovely, large, comfortable room, far too big as it had beds for up to 6 people, but we had no complaints. There were stairs up to the bathroom, which was nice and clean and had one of the best showers we have ever had in a hotel. Breakfast was buffet style in a room on the 1st floor, or we were given the option of having breakfast in bed! A good selection of breads, croissants, cake, fruit, cereals, juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate etc. The staff were all very helpful and the lady who greeted us on the front desk spoke excellent English. The hotel is in a great position just minutes from the harbour and beach, and surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops. There is also a bank with cash point just round the corner. If you have a car, there is plenty of free parking, but you may have to wait until the evening to find a spot near the hotel because it is busy during the day. Only one small complaint: the lift in the hotel is very small, barely taking two people, and it is a long way to the top floor if you take the stairs.

Room tip: The rooms facing the harbour and beach have balconies and are quiet.

We chose this hotel for price and value during our trip to Royan. We were greeted by a very pleasant person and took only moments to check in. The elevator was a bit small for two people but it was still better than stairs. We had a room overlooking the Ocean/Park/Boat Slips. Very centrally located to many restaurants and shops. We loved our view and the bed was comfortable. We would return to this location

Just as advertised, you walk out of the door and there are many restuarants, on the other side all the shops are situated. Great breakfast, friendly efficient staff, what more do you want? There is not a hotel car park, however, there is plenty of free parking outside the hotel.

Room tip: Sea view with balcony

Good location as the address says. It's clean . Comfortable though small rooms at least mine was ,but this is not a criticism, how much room do yo need ? Step out of the door and you are surrounded by shops and restaurants.

Room tip: Ocean view.

The hotel is just lovely. Right on the Front de Mer. We booked a last minute room with a gorgeous port and sea view and little balcony.
Staff very helpful friendly and warm.
Good breakfast.
Great shower.
Very comfy bed. My hubby wanted to take the mattress home!!
Restaurants and cafes right outside. Great shopping and amazing market all on the doorstep.
Ferry across the street.
Half hour drive to La Tremblade and Isle d'oleron. Where we had fresh out of the water oysters and moules at one of the quaint little oyster shacks.
Just wonderful all round. Highly recommend this hotel even though only 2 stars it offers great value for money.
