Our welcome was generous and warm and whilst we were the only residents (December 12th) we were offered a glass of Kir Royale whilst we sat in the lounge and watched the sunset over the bay. Our room was warm, with a balcony and furnished in a modern minimalist style. There was a Nespresso machine and plenty of towels. Our only criticisms were that there were only two pillows on the bed and there was nowhere to hang clothes.
We ate in the restaurant and whilst we were the only guests on a cold wet Wednesday night, the fire was lit and a waitress engaged to look after us. The food was excellent and particularly showed an imaginative marriage of the local seafood and the chef/owner Amir's Dutch imperial heritage with my crab cooked in a light curry sauce. The wine was not overpriced and we enjoyed an unrushed meal - suberb!!
We were ideally placed for the 10 minute run to the ferry and we shall certainly use this hotel again.More
