This is a café/restaurant which is definitely on the up. It has expanded since we were last in Dieppe, but very few tables are ever empty! The staff – from the efficient and multi-lingual manager downwards - are all friendly and welcoming, always recognising us each time we returned despite the hundreds of people they must serve each day. We ate lunch there one day and dinner another, and enjoyed drinks at an outside table, and felt extremely well looked after, and never ever rushed or pressured. The food was the good French food you expect at this level – certainly not fine dining, but nothing to complain about at all. I am allergic to garlic, and when I asked the manager whether a particular dish he recommended contained garlic, he said “No – but would you like some?” That is the kind of service that one appreciates!
