“Fine dining in Dieppe”
Reviewed May 6, 2014

RESERVATION REQUIRED
The local people filled this restaurant the twice we dined there. Situated between the two bridges it is a 15 minute walk from the centre of town. Beautifully presented, lovely flavours, fully recommend.
Both times we had the 30Euro menu. Great choices of three courses. Good Bar.
Diners are taken at intervals so service is excellent from the only Lady serving.

“Delightful as always top Dieppe restaurant”
Reviewed December 31, 2013

Le Bistrot du Pollet has room for only about 25 to 30 people. Do reserve. And choose from the day's specials as they will be fresh from the sea. We've a flat in Dieppe and have a special night out once or twice a year at Le Pollet and are never disappointed. Yes, one waitress usually, so don't get up on your high horse about "slow" service. This is a restaurant for fish and sea food, though there is usually one meat dish. It's such a cute little restaurant with a warm welcome and
very tasty food.

“Very good standard French cooking”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

Not located next to the harbour area, you need a car or taxi to get there,we arrived at opening time of 7.30pm,and by 8.30,the restaurant was fully occupied. That put the sole waitress under a lot of pressure, however she is obviously used to this as she was flying around the tables without any complaint. Cooking is mainly based on seafood which was nicely done, the soufflé was exceptional.
Overall an excellent evening without spending silly money.

“'Patchy'”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

My wife selected soles from the a la carte menu, while I decided to try the Lobster risotto. Her meal was fine, but the risotto lacked flavour and fish. We later saw large portions of this dish left on the table by other diners, so I wasn't apparently the only person similarly underwhelmed. For 25 euros a portion this was poor cooking and poor value. Service was good, but I gained the impression that this is a restaurant which can't cope with demand, has raised it's prices considerably, and has now entered into a decline.

“Charming inside out”
Reviewed August 3, 2012

I guess the husband cook and the wife serves... Very warm restaurant who offers a very good cuisine at prices you can not find anywhere.... I am not too much into sweet but the huge baba au rhum hapily made me change my mind that night. The lady just leaves the rhum bottle on the table and here you go....!
