Premiere Classe Reims -Tinqueux

I knew when i booked this hotel that it was a cheap stopover for the night en-route to Italy. We arrived just after 10pm however the reception was still manned (did stink of smoke from his cigarette) , we checked in without any problem and had no noise overnight however i think that was just due to the fact there were not many people staying.
Our room consisted of a double bed (not quite double though!) and bunk beds. Room is very sparse and TV did not work however the free wifi made up for this.
Whilst the room and bathroom are clean the carpet is still stained.
The room is so small that we actually all had to sit on a bed to allow only 1 person at a time to move - ended up being quite funny.
There were snack and drinks machine in reception and think breakfast was about €4.50 each however we took a travel kettle and instant porridge and coffee for breakfast.
To be honest, in future would just pay the extra for Tip Top hotel next door which was a better standard for only a little more.

Room Tip: I don't think there are any 'best' rooms!

It gets a mark of one just for location and the fact it was clean. Located just of the A4 it is a suitable stop over but there are lots more of similar and no doubt better places to stay.

Arrived 10pm - receptionist couldn't find pre-paid booking, 30 minutes later we get our keys. 1 minute later back to reception to join the queue that had formed behind us to reprogram the keys that were just given to us (a problem that seemed to be common and the oblivious receptionist was reprogramming keys with no security checks whatsoever on those requesting!) This was even more worrying given that our 16 year old daughter and friend were harrassed in their room into the early hours by the dregs of humanity that seem to be resident in this hotel (knocking on room door, trying to open door, moving outside to throw stones at their window, making obscene gestures, etc, etc). Same dregs welcomed us in a huddle of smoke and alcoholic breath as they accumulated in the reception doors most of the night. Movement and noise all night that made our stay completely useless given we were trying to get some sleep before our drive back to the UK the next day. TV in room didn't work and just about enough room to get around the bed.

Can't say I was suprised about the space or quality of the rooms given the small price we paid but I went with low expectations and was still disapointed. There is simply no excuse for the poor level of security at the hotel (one unqualified woman on duty through night with no visible support) and the stress caused as a result of it. Don't make the same mistake as us, pay a bit more and take your family somewhere else.

It was difficult to find the hotel but once we were there it was convenient as a place to stay for a one night stopover on the way to Italy from the UK. It is on the edge of town near the motorway in a retail park - not at all picturesque. We chose this hotel because it was cheap. No good if you do not have a car.

The title says it all really. Great place for a late in, one night stop over when you need to rest your head on a long trip to somewhere else.

Very little to moan about other than the cigarette burns in the bed clothes!

Close to the centre of Reims, but more than a walk. Breakfast was ok, but overpriced.

Positives: Clean room, shower cubicle closed properly, good water pressure, 24 h reception, nice, efficient staff, free parking.
Negatives: Ridiculously small room, no bedside tables, sheets were clean but showed obvious signs of wear and tear, tiny impractical wardrobe (2 of us for 3 nights our 2 big winter coats almost filled it), tiny shower cubicle.
No phone in room ( I know most people have mobiles but still...), no extra blanket and the room was not that warm (very cold weather might explain that)
An acceptable hotel at the lowest rate for a definitely no frill very short stay but not worth more than 30 something euros/night.

Basic, very small but cheap but the Basil Fawlty manager ruined the trip with his welcome and treatment of us. We arrived fairly late and walked in and then his tirade started.

If you are heading to Swiss borders or Strasbourg then a useful stopping point but there are about 4 others within 100 yards that looked better.

This hotel was good value for money for an overnight stopover whilst on route to the Alps.
The room and bathroom were very small but adequate and clean. Breakfast is a very basic affair, so we skipped breakfast. There are no frills to the hotel, it was very easy to check in and out and there is free WIFI in the rooms. The car park is very conveniently located and the hotel is not far from a Carrefour/Fuel station.
