You can't miss this place, looks like a Lego model! My bike had broken down so i needed a room for the night; turned out to be clean, well equipped for the cost (55 Euros at weekend) and had a ;large and comfortable bed. Good size shower, again clean, good selection of toiletries; The fridge in the room had a small selection of complimentary snacks/refreshments, an unexpected bonus at this level; useful also for the fresh milk I needed for my tea!

One caveat; no matter how hot the room is do not be tempted to leave a window open at night, as mosquitos are a problem. The aircon could have been a little more powerful, but the room overall is well thought out, with useful touches like a safe and clever use of space. Lift available to upper floors.

Receptionist was polite, helpful and spoke reasonable English. All-you-can-eat breakfast is 10 Euros extra.

For this price, good value and I'd use again at weekends, though the 75 Euro rate on weekdays might make me look elsewhere. A much better place than its exterior would suggest.

We arrived at this hotel knowing it was full of motor racing memorabilia but didnt quite expect what greeted us. The hotel lobby was small and clean and managed by a fairly indifferent young(ish) lady who apparently knew no english.. There were 'cages' suspended from the ceiling containing car parts (pistons, cam shafts, con rods, big ends etc) and there was a life size dummy wearing a formula 1? racing suit. We were given our room cards and told roughly where they were. The rooms are VERY small with no more than 18" all round the double bed. and the room also accommodated a wardrobe and dressing table!! Sleep quality was good.

The bathroom with it's frosted glass door afforded very little privacy. The bathroom itself was probably no wider than 2ft 6" (75cm) and had I been of a larger stature then I would have been wedged until having a gastric band fitted and waiting several months for the desired effect!!

The shower however was huge with room for two (or three if that way inclined) people!

Breakfast was adequate and consisted of typically european foods like salami, cheese, croissants, boiled eggs, toast, powdered fruit juice, tinned mixed fruit .. yuck!

We didnt eat dinner here and thats probably a good thing because we arrived back at 10'ish and the restaurant was deserted! We id, however find a 'Flunch' restaurant at the local Carrefour supermarket which was fantastic!! Parking was right outside the hotel which was convenient, but given we were in a deserted industrial estate I think parking was not an issue!

All in all..I wouldnt choose to stay there again. Nuff said!

Room Tip: Find somewhere else :o)

First of all this is not a hotel you would stay at for a city break or holiday, it is however great for a stop over or cheap business stay.

Let's try and counter some of the negatives from other reviews - Sulphur smell, if it was there we didn't notice it and by the look of the dates of the other reviews they're fairly close together.....sounds like water mains problems not the Hotel's.

Restaurant not open on a Weekend. Really? Did you really travel across the Atlantic and want to eat in what is effectively a fast food restaurant in the middle of an industrial estate? Shame on you. If you want to have cheap food and not go the the McDonalds then this is the place otherwise go into the city have a glass of champagne and something nice.

This is not the ritz but what do you expect for the price? What you get is a clean room, modern facilities, great water pressure (for a great shower to dust off those cobwebs), in a quiet area, close to the motorway with a decent bed.

Trust me, you'll wake up refreshed for your onward journey, oh and the rooms don't stink of smoke like so many other budget hotels.

We decided to stay in a Best Western hotel after having stayed in many during our years of travel. However, this was the worst hotel that we have ever stayed in. The room smelled strongly of sulphur and the toilet water was brown. When we went to complain we were told that there was a broken water main repaired earlier in the day, and the smell should clear soon. It never did. One also had to back in so that one could use the toilet.
The room was so small you almost had to crawl over each other just to move around. The receptionist spoke very little English and was hard to get much information from her. When we asked what time the restaurant was open being a Saturday evening around 5:00, we were told the cooks don't work on the weekend and the only customers they would be serving would be people arriving on a tour bus. What about the rest of the customers. And then to try and find out where we could go for supper was a nightmare. We decided to leave this hotel and moved to the Mercure downtown and it was definitely a good move. Both these hotels had 3 stars and the Enzo was definitely not even rated a 2.

So in order to avoid the congestion and confusion of driving into Reims, we decided to stay right outside of town at this Best Western property. Granted I have only stayed at one other Best Western property in Europe previously (Lugano Swtizerland), and that experience was great, this time however, was a nightmare.

It wasn't difficult to find once you get off the freeway. However, that was all one can say about this hotel. After we checked in, the room we were given smelled of sulfur, particularly every time you flush the toilet, and the stench gets stronger each time. The toilet water is either black or gray in color, with bits of debris every time you flush. We went down to complain as was told that this is a persistent problem, and that they would not know which room will smell like sulfur and which won't. The second room we switched to smelled like bleach, and the third room went back to smelling of strong sulfur (worse than a rotten egg). By the time we switched to the fourth room, we decided not to use the bathroom at all, and left the window open.

The hallway has motion sensor so if you don't get to your room fast enough from the elevator, the lights will go out on you, and waving your arms around usually will not turn the lights back on. The size of the room is even smaller than a standard European Best Western property.

Best Western needs to drop this property from their list
