2 stops from Airport by bus 1. Busy but very kind receptionist. Larger room than expected, everything was there and everything functioned well.
I slept well in the bed.
You can't really complain for the small amount of money you pay at this hotel.
Excellent value for the money.
Breakfast was huge, very well-assorted and with fresh fruits, juices, bread and everything you wanted.
Recommended.
This appeared to be very new in more of a hotel style rather than a motel which is the usual Camponile style. Everywhere was fresh and clean and the room was spotless with a modern shower room. The room was also slightly larger than normal too. There is parking but not a huge amount of spaces. The bed was comfy but the air conditioning was not working and by the time we needed it, it was not worth contacting reception as we were in bed, also the main shower did not work so we used the hand held, again too late to report once you are in it! Breakfast was fine with plenty of choice and helpful staff although the man in reception when we arrived was a little surly. As this is a new hotel, it has obviously been designed by a man as there is nowhere to style your hair! There is a mirror but no plug socket remotely near for your styler.....big problem.
The service and the room were excellent. So were all the meals. The hotel is only four bus stops from the airport, which is convenient during the arrival, but also means that it takes quite some time to reach the city centre by public transport.
Debating between poor and average review. The location by the airport at a reasonable price is the good news. This was the second place of this chain we tried. Both were in need of a remodel. The carpets in the room were badly stained. The room was clean, but in this location there were only two bath towels, no hand towels, no wash cloths, which none of the hotels seem to have. We had trouble getting to the hotel, as they were working on the roads, and our GPS kept directing us along a route we were unable to use. When we contacted the hotel for directions, we had a communication issue, as they were unable to tell us how to get to the hotel—this was very poor customer service. After some time and bumper to bumper traffic, as we weren’t the only ones impacted by the ‘deviation’ to the road, we finally arrived at the hotel. At this point, my wife had an immediate need to use the bathroom, while the front desk wanted to chat. We just wanted the key to our prepaid room, so we could both use the facilities. There was also a terrible smell outside the elevator, so not sure if someone else also had to use the restroom and didn’t make it on time or what—it was’t us. Whoever is in charge of this chain of hotels needs to visit them and see the shape they are in and make some allowances to replace the carpet in the rooms because they have good locations and are well priced, but that value is deminished by the lack of quaility. I doubt I’d stay in another Campanile hotel.
We had a couple of nights in this hotel at the start of our trip. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff we talked to were all very helpful and friendly. It is located on the main bus route from the airport to the city, which is great as long as you don't have luggage. However, if you need a taxi it gets expensive - when we arrived, we took a taxi, and the driver questioned why we weren't getting the 'navette' (shuttle). I tried to explain there wasn't one, he thought there was, and he said he'd have to charge us minimum 15 euros. When we were leaving, we asked about a shuttle, were told there wasn't one, and that they could book at taxi for 20 euros! It's about a 4 minute trip. We ended up on the bus, but with luggage for a long trip, that's tricky.
