Debating between poor and average review. The location by the airport at a reasonable price is the good news. This was the second place of this chain we tried. Both were in need of a remodel. The carpets in the room were badly stained. The room was clean, but in this location there were only two bath towels, no hand towels, no wash cloths, which none of the hotels seem to have. We had trouble getting to the hotel, as they were working on the roads, and our GPS kept directing us along a route we were unable to use. When we contacted the hotel for directions, we had a communication issue, as they were unable to tell us how to get to the hotel—this was very poor customer service. After some time and bumper to bumper traffic, as we weren’t the only ones impacted by the ‘deviation’ to the road, we finally arrived at the hotel. At this point, my wife had an immediate need to use the bathroom, while the front desk wanted to chat. We just wanted the key to our prepaid room, so we could both use the facilities. There was also a terrible smell outside the elevator, so not sure if someone else also had to use the restroom and didn’t make it on time or what—it was’t us. Whoever is in charge of this chain of hotels needs to visit them and see the shape they are in and make some allowances to replace the carpet in the rooms because they have good locations and are well priced, but that value is deminished by the lack of quaility. I doubt I’d stay in another Campanile hotel.

We had a couple of nights in this hotel at the start of our trip. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff we talked to were all very helpful and friendly. It is located on the main bus route from the airport to the city, which is great as long as you don't have luggage. However, if you need a taxi it gets expensive - when we arrived, we took a taxi, and the driver questioned why we weren't getting the 'navette' (shuttle). I tried to explain there wasn't one, he thought there was, and he said he'd have to charge us minimum 15 euros. When we were leaving, we asked about a shuttle, were told there wasn't one, and that they could book at taxi for 20 euros! It's about a 4 minute trip. We ended up on the bus, but with luggage for a long trip, that's tricky.

Imagine a hotel for travelers, near to the airport. And imagine, that all of the posters, information are only on French. And imagine that the breakfast closes already at 9 am. And the restaurant closes at 10 pm, and the bar closes at 11 pm.
I can not say that this hotel is traveler friendly.
The only good thing is a big dinner bufet. The breakfast bufet is just the average.

Slept for one night after a late arrival in the airport. Great hotel near the airport: big and clean rooms with all services necessary. Great breakfast in the morning (12 euros). Big private parking...

Hard to find any fault with this hotel. We spent two nights there. Really excellent staff, friendly, efficient and professional. An excellent last stop before heading to the airport as we were cycling. Bus outside the door into Bordeaux [40 minutes] or to the airport [10 minutes].
