We stayed here for one might before taking a flight further afield. We were tired from travelling and thought we'd just chill out at this hotel. But when we got there we decided to go into Bordeaux city for our last evening. I'm so glad we did. The hotel itself is functional, but the bar us quite boring and the raster aunts didn't seem appealing. The staff were quite helpful in telling us a bus goes from across the road into Bordeaux for o lt €1.70 and takes about 35mins. We had a lovely evening in Bordeaux and were glad we didn't stay in the hotel- particularly as we couldn't get the sirclnfitioning to work!

I was on days 4 and 5 of a 7 day Leger Battlefield Tour and was holed up here for 2 nights. The hotel was obviously chosen for its accessibility to the motorway and in reality you wouldn't want to be here for more than one night. It was okay with nothing to praise or criticise( though the restaurant closing at 10pm was disappointing).I eat at a Buffalo Grill some 20/25 mins walk away which was either very popular or there was nothing else around. It was considerably better value in cost and taste than the hotel restaurant.I would like to add that the staff were 'friendly and courteous' as I often see in Tripadvisor reviews but apart from saying"thank you " when I pick up or return my key, this is my level of interaction with the staff so I can't comment. With barmen(particulary French barmen) I always get the feeling they are doing you a favour and on this trip had yet to encounter a hotel barman who smiled but then GB had overtaken the French in Gold Medals!

We had a very good one night stay here with a spacious and comfortable room, a great meal in the restaurant and appreciated the facility to make our own breakfast in the morning. All the staff we met were friendly and courteous. The hotel is a 5 minute drive from the airport, but the air con/double glazing works efficiently to make for a very comfortable stay.

The hotel is located near the airport. The rooms and the corridors are so old and used, that we smell. Overrated 4-start hotel...

Room Tip: after the hotel has completed some serious renovations!

Stayed here overnight for early morning flight back to UK
Our room was booked as a no smoking room some 6 months previously.
Room stunk of stale cigarettes, this room was obviously used as a smoking room.
There are no 'no smoking signs' anywhere so it seems that smoking is accepted in any room and this hotel's definition of a no smoking room is that YOU dont smoke in the room but but are expected to accept a room reeking of of stale cigarettes and obviously used as a 'smoker' by anyone else who cares to smoke.

I immediately phoned reception and complained the room stank but was not told 'sorry sir there must have been a mistake, we'll move you to a non smoking room but instead I was told 'Well some customers don't respect the hotel's policy and smoke in the room' This would have been the end of the conversation but I pointed out that other customers behaviour was the hotel's problem not mine and perhaps a few no smoking signs in the rooms and around the hotel might help.
There was then a delay and I was told in a terse voice 'OK we'll put you in another room'. No apology was offered and I was made to feel I was the problem and not the stinking room we had been given. The new room was a bit better but still a little stale but as we were tired and up at 6-00 AM for an early flight so we accepted our fate but would have demanded a refund and gone elsewhere had circumstances been different.

As we have noted in other countries such a UK and USA if you smoke in a non smoking room you will be charged around £50 to clean and decontaminate the room and signs make this clear. To be fair France has only gone 'no smoking' recently but this hotel is allegedly four star and should up their game.
Our budget is very limited and I paid extra to give my wife a nice room on the last night of our one holiday. I think we were badly let down by this hotel and would think seriously before we use Quality Suites in future.

Room Tip: If you dont smoke dont go!

Our itinerary said that we should have been staying at Holiday Inn, Bordeaux Sud, but our Shearings tour coach driver had the Quality Suites on his itinerary (the first of many mistakes) and we ended up there in the middle of a thunderstorm quite late in the day. The hotel ovbiously weren't expecting us. Fortunately they had 27 spare rooms and worked their socks off and got us into our rooms within half an hour or so. They passed the first test with flying colours.

Our room was comfortable and perfectly acceptable if not brilliant and once we knew the full facts of what had happened the fact that we had got any room at all was a blessing.

They also managed to rustle up a very acceptable dinner for us all about 8.30. I would say that drinks at the bar seemed quite expensive (15 euros for a G&T and a vermouth).

Breakfast was however a bun fight and had nothing whatsoever to recommend it. I wouldn't stay here again because of the poor breakfast but at the time it was better than nothing.

Double bed was two singles pushed together which was OK as I was travelling alone. Room heater didn't work but decent fan heater in bathroom provided sufficient heat for room. Fairly basic furniture but no shower curtain (or fittings for one) so shower water went everywhere! WiFi was OK for checking emails etc but pretty slow. Breakfast was simple and sufficient for a one night stay. Would book elsewhere if stay is longer than a night or two.
