Description: The quality of the restaurants in downtown Dubrovnik was not excillerating, but this romantic restaurant 10 minutes away from downtown certainly surprised us positively. I had beef tender like butter and the seafood was very well made. It is situated by the river, with huge fish and birds passing by if you dine by the riverside. The service is qiuck and friendly. After 10 days of dining in and around Dubrovnik this i without a doubt the one of the two places I would recomend. If you are not i Dubrovnik by car, theres a bus every 15 minutes to the nearby marina that leaves from the northern gate of old town. Well worth the 20 minutes bus ride instead of eating at the restaurants inside the city walls.

“Best choice near marina.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2013 via mobile

Sailing holiday with three nights at the ACI marina. Two visits to this pleasant restaurant. Very helpful waiter, who gave excellent suggestions for our dinner. Sea Bass very good, not cheap, but well worth the extra. Croatian wine also a revelation.10-15 minute walk from marina. Marina restaurants somewhat mediocre.

“A windy night by the river”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2012

Unlike some of the other reviewers who succumbed to the pontoon tout, we had received a strong recommendation from a Northern Ireland couple who keep their Nordia 50 yacht permanently on the marina. We arrived about 8.30pm to find the out-of-doors, covered, riverside dining area pretty full. The initial service was slow due to the volume of customers and it was some thirty minutes or more before we got a drink. We ordered a variety of dishes from fish to steak and while all found the food to be well prepared and tasty, in a number of cases it was quite cold. The litre bottle of the white house wine was very good (a Posip) and the house red was very drinkable. There are six or eight massive palm trees which project up through the overhead canopy. The strong winds were causing these palms to periodically dump massive quantities of water on the canopy and some of our party were splashed. Wind and falling water drove us indoors for desert and coffee.

“Sailing with delicious dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 9, 2012

During our two weeks sail trip from Split/Kastella to Dubrovnic and back we had our best restaurant dinner here. A lady was advertizing the restaurant in the ACI Marina. We asked her if they serve also cocktails, and as she confirmed we walked there after our self made dinner. Unfortunately they didn't serve real cocktails, but the very friendly waiter, sometimes laughing like a horse, provided us two drinks for free!
The next day we have then gone for dinner there, after a touristy trip to Dubrovnic - the wall walk there is a must see -, and the dinner was really delicious. Special recommendations are the octopus salad and the white house wine.

“River-side dining near the ACI Dubrovnik Marina”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2012

We recently sailed for two weeks in Croatia. Our trip began at the ACI Dubrovnik Marina which is located 6 KM from the old town. The first night we were there, someone was handing out fliers to this restaurant which is located a short (5-10 minutes) walk from the marina. After reviewing the menus at the other restaurants in the marina area, we decided to try it. What a pleasant surprise! The restaurant is located directly on the side of a river with a view of the mountains along the Bosnian border. There are a few resident swans that swim alongside the restaurant (looking for food!). It is a really nice setting with a wonderful ambiance. We ordered fish by the kilo (a standard thing in Croatia as we later found out). The cost is a little more here than other places we visited (Vimbula is 380 Kuna/kilo versus 350 Kuna/kilo – but the presentation and service made it worth a bit more). A word of caution about ordering fish by the kilo – always ask how much the fish weighs so you won’t be surprised when you get the bill. A number of fresh fish were brought out for us to inspect and choose from. Once cooked, the waiter (this staff was excellent!), prepared it for us and served it. The salads were very good (Greek Salad for 35 Kuna), Shrimp with Arugula for 50 Kuna (note that the word for Arugula somehow was translated into “rocket” in English—probably from the French Roquette—so it is listed in the menu as “Marinated Shrimps with Rocket”). We enjoyed this restaurant so much, we revisited when we returned and were pleased that the staff remembered us. We tried different dishes – some of us got individual grilled sea bass (excellent 100 Kuna), filet mignon with cheese sauce (note that in general, beef is not particularly good in Croatia – seafood is a better choice) for 110 Kuna, shrimp brochette with smoked ham (very nice!) for 50 Kuna. Dessert – crème caramel (excellent)! So if you find yourself at the ACI Dubrovnik Marina or near there, you won’t regret walking the short distance to this restaurant. With wine/water, a nice meal for 4 costs between 700 and 1000 Kuna. That's a good deal!
