Unlike some of the other reviewers who succumbed to the pontoon tout, we had received a strong recommendation from a Northern Ireland couple who keep their Nordia 50 yacht permanently on the marina. We arrived about 8.30pm to find the out-of-doors, covered, riverside dining area pretty full. The initial service was slow due to the volume of customers and it was some thirty minutes or more before we got a drink. We ordered a variety of dishes from fish to steak and while all found the food to be well prepared and tasty, in a number of cases it was quite cold. The litre bottle of the white house wine was very good (a Posip) and the house red was very drinkable. There are six or eight massive palm trees which project up through the overhead canopy. The strong winds were causing these palms to periodically dump massive quantities of water on the canopy and some of our party were splashed. Wind and falling water drove us indoors for desert and coffee.
