“Perfect retreat - great facilities and full of period features”

Fantastic location, with the sea, coastal walks and characterful village of Solva in walking distance. Very well equipped, extremely clean and in great order. The Farmhouse and converted barns are full of character and in idyllic surroundings. Represents great value for money. Owners very friendly and easy to deal with.

“Everything you'd want a holiday cottage to be...and some!!”
Reviewed June 19, 2018 for a stay in May 2018

If you are looking for a top quality cottage in a stunning location then this is it! We rented both the farmhouse and the barn conversion Ty Dewi for our parents golden wedding/70th birthday and couldn't be more pleased with both. Gareth and Luci have really gone the exra mile with these properties, they really have thought of everything and they were always on hand and up for a chat!
The farmhouse is spacious and beautifully decorated, with the most amazing inglenook fireplace (logs provided!) and a stunning walled orchard garden with bbq and picnic bench. Our dog was most welcome too and was provided with toys, treats and even dog towels!! We were met with complimentary Bara brith, welsh cakes and Prosecco, just a perfect touch! The woolen throws and cushions that adorn all the furniture add to the traditional vibe.(the local mills are well worth a visit too!)
We were very lucky and had the perfect week weather-wise, visiting most of the local beaches (please check for dog-friendly beaches, some are, some not) Newgale is great for kids, as is Whitesands and Nolton.
St Davids is truly stunning, with plenty of shops, pubs and the awesome cathedral.
I must recommend The Farmers Inn who took our party of 14 at a moments notice and the food was served promptly and was fab (my beer-battered cod was lush!)
Also, at Gareths recommendation, Saffron the Indian restaurant in St Davids is amazing (a proper chicken tikka balti!!), but I would phone through your takeaway order first as it gets very busy.
Solva is a beautiful place too, and the Harbour Inn is the perfect place for an evening pint, the food is ok, just normal pub grub but the harbour car park did get busy. Stunning welsh cakes from Mamgu and dressed crab and lobster from Something Fishy.
All in all, we had an amazing week and we highly recommend Ffynnonddewi Farmhouse, we will be back, definately!

“We had an amazing time in an amazing property in an amazing area.”
Reviewed June 12, 2018 for a stay in June 2018

This property has everything you could possibly want. Gareth and Luci were around but not intrusive, but they made sure our every comfort was catered for and they were so kind and friendly. The bedrooms were gorgeous and the beds really comfy. The kitchen had a huge table and there was nothing you could need in the way of kitchen equipment and an electric range cooker to cook on. The sitting room had 3 big sofas you sank in...and a huge log burner. There was a barbeque area with a great BBQ and chimenea with logs to use. The property is about 20 minutes to any of the fantastic beaches and tourist spots. We went horse riding on the beach, went to a water park, visited St. Davids Cathedral, visited lots of gift shops and had a wonderful time. Me, being nosy, wanted to look at the house next door that had just been finished...and Gareth told me to go in...what a stunning house. A truly wonderful place to spend time and make memories with your family and friends.
