Booked Ty Eiddew for a last minute New Year Break, after finding many cottage owners very inflexible about a short break, many asking a small fortune (I know it is a busy season but still not prepared to pay £600 plus for a 3 night stay!), plus we have a small dog so needed dog friendly. The owners could not do enough for us, we had a welcome hamper on arrival, local beers, welsh cakes, chocolate, such a nice touch, plus the coal was fully stocked together with kindling and wood, which Louis replenished every morning. Cottage was so cosy, central heating looked recent and all appliances/bathroom looked well looked after and new, but cottage still kept its old world charm. Location is stunning, sunsets amazing, isolated but a short drive to Caernarfon, plenty of shops and pubs etc. Farm was very well maintained and gardens spotless, cottage had its own garden which was contained so perfect for dogs. There is another cottage behind also rented out but has its own garden too, and whilst this is the owners farm, they do not live by the cottages so are not on top of you but local if needed. We took our youngest age 11, and was worried about boredom (no wifi!) but she loved it and didn't want to get out of her pjs and wellies at all. Couldn't have asked for more, will be coming back, cannot fault anything (can live without Wifi we found!) it does have freesat tv which is a help!. Many thanks again to Louis and Sally, lovely place, feel ready for the New Year now.
