“Perfect place to stay”
Reviewed April 2, 2018 for a stay in March 2018

The cottage is perfect with lots of home comforts including a dual control electric blanket! The bread and milk were particularly welcome. The location is ideal for exploring the Lleyn Peninsular and look forward to a return visit soon. Highly recommended!

“lovely, quiet, get away from it all cosy cottage”
Reviewed September 25, 2017 for a stay in September 2017

What a lovely peaceful spot this was. The cottage is lovely and spotlessly clean with everything you need. It is decorated and furnished beautifully. The only sound you can hear is the babbling brook in the rear garden. This is truly a gem we hope to return to. We have fallen in love with wales in recent years, there is always so much to see and do. This particular area has magnificent mountains on one side and beach on the other, what more could you want. A must visit is Nant Gwrtheyrn just a short drive away. Amazing views, there is a steep winding (with plenty of passing places ) road down to the restored quarry village which also has a lovely café with views over the sea. The owners of Riverside Cottage were on hand to help if needed but were totally unobtrusive, we had a great stay.

“Cozy Welsh Cottage - Highly Recommended”
Reviewed July 30, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Situated in the sleepy village of Trefor on the Llyn Peninsula, this lovely cottage was spacious, well equipped, clean and cozy.
The garden to the rear was private and a lovely place to sit as you listen to music on the CD player and the babbling brook alongside.
Three of us spent a week here and it was a great base for discovering the Llyn and North Wales but equally as lovely was the walk down the the beach and harbour where you could also join the coastal walk.... and if you're feeling really energetic walk up the Eifl mountain behind... although as we discovered it's not for the faint hearted! However, when you reach the top the views are outstanding and you can even see the cottage from there.
Jeff (the owner) was great - he's on hand if you need him but thankfully leaves you to it so it's just like living in your own place - with lots of info provided for your stay as well as games, videos and wifi for those possible rainy days.
Another really lovely touch was the fresh bread, Welsh butter and milk, which provided a welcome feast after the long journey from South Wales to get there. It was well worth the trip and very reasonably priced.
We loved it and will definitely return!

“Good dog-friendly cottage and well-located for local scenery and attractions”
Reviewed March 8, 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Plenty to do nearby and pretty location with enclosed garden, although our dog would have been able to get out if he had crossed the river.
Comfortable well-equipped cottage and good value for money.

Beautiful Cottage, top quality fixtures and fittings, very comfortable beds, Visited with my elderly mum and she loved sitting outside listening to the stream and the birds. A perfect holiday location and the owners have thought of everything to make this cottage a home from home. Would definitely return.

“Lovely”
Reviewed May 3, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Simply a lovely place to stay.

Very nice and quiet location could not really fault anything. Hosts even supplied fresh bread, butter and milk just to get you settled in when you arrive.
Rooms are nice a large and the double room has a comfy heated bed.
I would recommend thick socks or slippers in the colder months as there is tiles and stone floors which can be a bit nippy!
We struggled to find anywhere local to eat out but if you happy to cook then all the facilitates are there.

This was a perfect location and to come back to once we had had conquered Snowdon and a few other walks.

Highly recommended
