Owner description: Our school offers high quality kitesurfing and windsurfing tuition with IKO certified instructors (International Kitesurfing Organization) with the latest and safest equipment. We are located in Nonsuch Bay, on the windward shore of Antigua, where the trade winds blow strong and constant. The bay is completely closed by the reef and offers a condition of warm and flat water, ideal to learn and progress. Updated equipment, newest teaching methods and power boat assistance make the best combination for your perfect learning experience.
The kitesurfing lessons will start from the beach of Green Island, a tiny island windward to Nonsuch bay, with white sand and crystal blue water; a perfect landing/launching area for kites.

After a few trips of kiting and some lessons we ended up at 40 Knots kiting school.
This was absolutely the best place to learn and get instruction. The instructor team consisting of
Max (antonio), Irene (bella), Chris (LUDWIG) and the funniest and great Susie (GRETA) got us in just a few hints and directions on the board and riding like pros. Well at least we felt like some.... Let us be...
This is definitely the place to go to and get yourself started in kiting. They have safety and learning to ride in mind and have the best way figured out to teach and get you going fast.
Absolutely the best place Thanks a lot to the team of 40knots kiting.
Yoania (JO) and the crazy dutch guy Jeroen

We had Suzie as our instructor and she was great. Really funny, friendly and progressed us at a great rate and didn't waste any time at all in getting us on the board. The kit is fantastic and they called us early in the morning to reschedule when the wind was looking poor; we had to drive across island to get there so that was very helpful.

The only thing I would say they can improve on is setting a deal with the resort to allow friends to come out to the island they set up from free of charge to watch. I understand charging people to just go to green island but when they are with paying kite surf individuals they should be able to go out for free to watch.

Hello :) We have recently visited Antigua and 40 knots school with a bigger group of kiters. As we are advanced riders we didn't need any lessons, but we were still extremely welcomed in the place and team was super friendly and helpfull. We had boat rides to the Green Island every day and explanation about spot and options to kite around was great! It was not busy, as it is end of the season but they still run some lessons for both beginners and intermediate riders with super proffesional approach, I did not see one unhappy person - everyone had a huge smile on their face! I would recommend the place to riders of all levels - beginners and intermediate who learning upwind riding as there is plenty of space, safe water entrance, boat at hand to pick you up in case you drift downwind. For advance riders you will love flat water, steady wind and huge lagoons with sandy bottom to practice your latest moves in. Great great spot!

My brother and I went to 40 knots for lessons as we were struggling at the water start stage, after the first lesson we were both up and riding. their method of teaching from the ribbed boat gives you maximum time in the water, so no walk of shame. as the instructors are so close to you, they see your mistakes and tell you how to rectify them.
All the instructors are 1st class teachers, fun and very enthusiastic for you to progress, the teaching area at green island is a beautiful part of the world, the waters warm and perfect conditions for kitesurfing beginners to advanced. the equipment 40 knots use is the latest and top notch you will find.
So if you want kitesurfing lessons go to 40 knots, trust me they are the very best you will find and you will have a great fun time learning. now the question is would I go back? the answer is yes, you bet tomorrow if I could. thanks to 40 knots for a wonderful, fun experience.

we have just returned from Antigua and would recommend if your going kitesurfing or want to learn to kitesurf for the first time 40 knots is the school to go with.
we were staying at the grand pineapple, the school picks you up at willikies fishermans dock which is a10 minute walk from the hotel, an then by boat to green island which is only 5 minutes away.
our instuctors were chris, suzy, & Irene the first thing about these guys is their enthusiasm & drive that they have because they really want you to succeed so that you can progress from the stage you have reached, we were at the water stage within 30 minutes of our first session we were up and riding.
you are taught from a boat so there is no time wasted walking up and down beaches so therefore you spend all of your sessions with your instructor.
the amount we have learned from these guys is huge and it gives you the confidence to practice on your own.
their range of equipment they have is huge so there are kites for all wind conditions whether its strong or light winds.
so go and see these guys because you will progress to your next stage of kitesurfing in a quick time, so thank you to 40 knots or all your help it was a great experience and would definitely come back to see you again.
