Owner description: Our school offers high quality kitesurfing in Antigua. We offer tuition with IKO certified instructors (International Kitesurfing Organization) with the latest and safest equipment. We are located in Nonsuch Bay, on the windward shore of Antigua, in the Caribbean, where the trade winds blow strong and constant. The bay is completely closed by the reef and offers a condition of warm and flat water, ideal to learn and progress. Updated equipment, newest teaching methods and power boat assistance make the best combination for your perfect learning experience.
The kitesurfing lessons will start from the beach of Green Island, a tiny island windward to Nonsuch bay, with white sand and crystal blue water; a perfect landing/launching area for kites.

40 knots is by far and away the best kitesurf school I have experienced. I have been to Baja, Bonaire, BVI, Belmont Shores and la Ventana and 40 knots is the best.
The 40 knots crew teaches safety 1st , but they challenge the student to improve in a fun but effective way. Constant supervision and attention allows the instructor to point out the small changes that advance the skill level of the student, me!
The venue is amazing, a very nice resort, a huge pristine Caribbean Bay, flat water and steady wind. Check it out.

We had pre-booked this excursion before going on our cruise and had a wonderful time in Antigua, This was one of our best surfing experiences ever.

A few of us went for kite lessons at 40 knots and were all blown away at how fun, professional and experienced the crew were. The set up they have out at Green Island is unbeatable. Plenty of space, consistent wind and a tender following you at all times ensures maximum safety while not wasting time worrying about people, beaches etc. I would recommend this school to anyone who kites, or wants to learn to kite and we cant wait to return at the end of the year.

You couldn't ask for a better Kiting School. The instructors are exceptional and so friendly. The water is beautifully clear, blue and warm. You are followed on a boat so as to maximise riding time. This is the best Kiting school in Antigua. A bit pricier than other schools but well worth every cent!!! It makes for a beautiful day on a stunning beach. And when you're not kiting - do some snorkelling on the other side of the island. Really fantastic!!

The team at 40 knots are exceptional. I had lessons with 40knots and they had me up and going in the shortest possible time. From the land based trainer kite to progressing on the water, everything was explained how and why, the safety aspect was always covered and the instruction was motivating and forthright. the instruction from the boat means the instructor is always there giving hints and tips maximising your lesson time. within 6 hours I was riding, one private lesson to iron out the kinks and Im hooked.

Green island is a great place to learn, always a friendly place to meet people and you will always want to go back.

Thanks again.
