Spent a lovely couple of nights at Non Such, apartment was located right alongside the infinity pool which was fabulous! Dinner at The Bay Restaurant was good, couple of hours sailing on the RS Elites (excellent skipper meant I did nothing LOL). Only downside for me, ceiling fan in the bedroom was noisy so needed to use A/C which I don't really like. Overall great location to just chillax with a glass of wine!

We spent a couple of wonderful nights at Nonsuch Bay Resort. After getting settled in our huge, luxurious two-bedroom apartment we headed to the infinity pool in the bar area where we were served a rum punch while cooling off in the pool. Over the course of a couple of days we spent a lot of time relaxing poolside and then jumping in the pool to cool off. The property was very quiet and relaxing. When we were feeling a little more energetic we took out the RS Elites and enjoyed some fun racing. Dinner in The Bay @ Nonsuch was delicious with very attentive service. Nonsuch Bay Resort is a great property and has everything we could have wanted from peace and relaxation to excellent dining to water sports and sailing activities. Nonsuch Bay itself must be one of the most beautiful bays in the world! Wonderful!

Room Tip: All rooms appears good to us!

Having left all the decisions to our adult son on our 2 day trip to Antigua, my husband and I did not know what to expect about our stay at Nonsuch Bay Resort. Why did I ever doubt my son???? Nonsuch Bay Resort is wonderful: our beautifully appointed large 2-bedroom cabin faced the ocean, the resort staff was friendly and attentive, greeting my son by his first name when he arrived, and the dinners, while expensive, were delicious. I intend to return to Nonsuch Bay Resort in the future and stay for a longer time.

Room Tip: Cabins facing the ocean are desirable for the view and also for proximity to the dining room.

I recently returned from spending 6 days at Nonsuch Bay. I traveled with my two children age 16 and 13. We absolutely loved the hotel.

The hotel was a perfect mix of activity and relaxation. The setting on the Eastern side of the island was very special. Nonsuch Bay is a beautiful large bay filled with sailing boats and mountains surround the bay. It was close enough to get to the sites that we wanted to see like Shirley Heights, Nelson's Dockyard and St Johns but far enough that we really felt removed from the hustle and bustle. On the day we arrived there were over 35 sailboats that arrived from an around the world trip that was ending in Antigua. What a sight to see those beautiful sailboats coming in!

The sailing / water sports program is fantastic and the sailing instructors at Nonsuch were helpful to all the children in our group. We had a variety of level of sailors and they were able to help everyone have an amazing time. Various size boats are set up for the kids (and adults) and sailors of all levels have a chance to sail. Instructors are available if you want to have them sail with you or you can sail independently. Green Island is a deserted island just offshore from Nonsuch and this is not to be missed. Amazing beach and we had a chance to snorkel here and spend 2 hours all alone on the island.

The staff at the hotel was great....everyone was really friendly. Ruth does a great job as a concierge and the sailing team lead by Leslie was experienced and helpful. Rooms were immaculate.

Nonsuch has one restaurant with a spectacular setting on a mountain top with a pretty infinity pool. Their chef that won "Caribbean Chef of the Year" last year. Food was great....priced fairly and very nice selection. I loved the pulled pork pressed sandwich.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and the rooms were really well appointed. The kitchen had everything that we needed, bedrooms and baths were beautiful and the bedding was really comfortable. We enjoyed the spacious balcony that had beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and ocean.

I rented a car for three days which worked out really well with Vernon's Car Rental. The car rental was all arranged through the hotel. They brought the car right to our unit and everything was handled very, very smoothly.

This was one of our best vacations ever. I loved the choice I made of Nonsuch Bay and loved the island of Antigua! We will be back!

My Fiance and I were looking for a quiet place to spend some much needed R&R. By chance we found it on Tripadvisor. We stayed there a week and like most vacations wished we had a few more extra days. The place is lovely. The pools, grounds and spacious rooms are really great. What makes this resort special is the people. The staff go way out their way to make you feel special. The Manager, Hew, Front desk staff Zoe and Tarita always were friendly and helpful. Timmy (Bartender) great guy, entertaining and makes terrific drinks, Vonda, David and all the staff went out the their way to make you feel very special. Truly, Ambassadors of not only Non Such but Antigua. The weather was unbelievable. Warm trade winds all day and evening. The air conditioning was working but really not needed. Lastly, the food was great and I would recommend the half board plan. So happy we stayed there. Can't wait to go back. Thanks.

Room Tip: 2nd or 3rd level. Better views. Away from the pools for the most quiet.

My family of four including two adults and two children (9,12) had a great time staying at Nonsuch Bay Resort. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, in particular Zoe. Here are the pros and the cons:

Pros
1. Well maintained grounds and three pools which were never very crowded.
2. Staff helpful and friendly.
3. 2 bedroom unit large and well appointed with tasteful decor.
4. Quiet for extra relaxation.
5. Convenience shop on site which could very well suffice if you chose to eat all your meals in your unit given full kitchen.
6. Aquatic activities on site for renting snorkel gear and sailing equipment.
7. Restaurant on site with option for room service.
8. Close to Half Moon Bay which is probably the most beautiful beach I have seen.
9. Close to Harmony Hall Restaurant (open for lunch every day and dinner Wed-Sat) which was outstanding.
10. GPS rental from the front desk which makes renting a car and exploring a much better eperience (esp if you don't like getting lost!)
11. 45 min from St John's and thus somewhat isolated--that was a really good thing as there is really no good reason to spend any time in St. John's where the cruise ships come in unless you need to shop.
12. Very much an international crowd with many from the UK--very friendly.

Cons:
1. Isolated--for us a positive, but some might like to be closer to the main town (St. John's was a major disappointment for us and not some place I would recommend one go in to see--we have been to the main towns on other islands and this one was probably the least attractive).
2. 3-4 miles of unpaved road to reach resort--Antigua's infrastructure needs a great deal of work and hopeful that the government will make this a priority as most tourists are used to paved roads. Many potholes and no real shoulders to speak of. The unpaved roads at times were a challenge at first but you get used to them. Definitely rent an SUV of some sort as there are also many hills.
3. Resort is built into the side of a hilly landscape, so be prepared to go up and down hills on the Resort. Would be a challenge if one has any orthopedic issues.
4. Restaurant on site is "okay" but not great and is expensive. Harmony Hall is a 5 min drive and given the quality of the food and price I would definitely choose Harmony Hall over Nonsuch for meals.
5. Although the beach has good shade, the beach itself is man-made and not very good--sea grass and compared to the 364 other beaches on Antigua you don't really want to spend much time at the beach at the hotel.
6. Very slow WiFi in the unit--so if you have kids who love to be on-line, just an FYI.

Overall, we had a very nice stay and would return to Nonsuch Bay if we go back to Antigua. Again, rent a car and see the many great beaches Antigua has to offer. There is a great market outside of St John's called Epicurean which is very much like a US supermarket--stock up and enjoy having a full kitchen in your unit.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 1601 which was a 2 bedroom unit. Perfect as it was near one of the three pools bu...

My two sons (7&9), my husband and I all had a wonderful vacation at Nonsuch Bay Resort. Possibly our best family vacation ever. Relaxing and easy.

It is important to note that the resort is remote and quiet, and the beach is windy - which is exactly what we wanted! My husband took full advantage of the sailing and truly enjoyed the sailing instructors, and we were able to sail together several times during the week while our children where cared for in the kid's club. The children enjoyed the kid's club, and Natasha was wonderful and patient. She is invaluable to the resort. In addition, the resort made the effort to meet my request to hold the "Swallows and Amazons" children's adventure "off season" (i.e., not during their usual time period) - the kids thoroughly enjoyed the adventure to Green Island, and my husband and I were impressed that the resort staff made it happen. The availability of the watersports was great. The beach is very good. And the resort a short trip away from Half Moon Bay Beach, which is worth a visit or two!

The food was good. And the front desk and food service was friendly and helped us to quickly relax into our vacation.

A few suggestions:
The addition of a small gym - even just a treadmill and weights would make a significant positive impact.
Add 2-3 paddle boards to the included watersports or daily activities fee (rather than having to pay for them through 40 Knots). This really should have been included as we paid the activities fee.
Reconsider the price of the kid's club, as it was expensive. (though very good! Perhaps add more dinner-time activities included in the cost, so parent's can enjoy the restaurant sans kids more often).
We enjoyed the restaurant and the food varied from wonderful to good (which is a compliment), but the service could be faster.
And in future, we would do a large food shopping upon arrival to stock up the handy kitchen that each unit has.

All in all, we LOVED it! We hope to come back next year!

Room Tip: Second row up - great view.
