“Beautiful cottage”
Reviewed July 15, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Beautiful cottage on the edge of Snowdonia national park. We were made to feel welcome the first day and enjoyed a week of exploring the area. Check out the ice cream shop in Bala high street, the ice cream 'tapas' is luscious.

“Lovely cottage, Great Location!”
Reviewed March 24, 2017 for a stay in March 2017

The Cottage was lovely and comfortable. Great location, close to many activities and great places to visit. The cottage is well equipt and was lovely to return to after a day of adventures. Would definitely recommend.
We climb Snowdon, and did white water rafting. We would recommend both. Bala is walkable distance with some great little pubs. The Indian on the high street was very nice! I'd give the pizza and pasta restaurant a miss though.

“everything was first class”
Reviewed May 26, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Cysgod Bach was perfect for the relaxing break that we needed. We could not have asked for anything better. Everything in the cottage was of the highest quality. Mick and Mel made us very welcome. Will certainly return again.

“Modern cottage in Excellent location”
Reviewed April 28, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

This is a new detached property with a well equipped kitchen, decent shower, and very comfortable bed.
It is in a quiet location about 1 mile from Bala town centre and has it's own patio and garden with pretty views across a river.
The hosts (Mel and Mick) are very welcoming.
I would heartily recommend a visit.

“Our best cottage rental ever”
Reviewed June 14, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We have just returned from a 5 days stay at this idyllic cottage and everything was perfect. Lovely welcoming hosts, spotlessly clean, great location, parking right outside the door, great for people with limited mobility, free Wi-Fi. The cottage has everything one could wish for in a holiday rental, a real home from home. We couldn't find one single thing wrong with this holiday, even the weather was gorgeous. The cottage, although next to the owners' property (which gives one a good sense of security) is very private with a lovely, sunny patio for sitting out (in your nightie as I did every morning !) for your morning coffee, or a glass or wine in the evening. Bala is a nice little town consisting of one long street which is only a 3/4 minute drive away. It has several restaurants/pubs/eating places, a post office and a couple of little supermarkets, all of which you can park right outside for free, you can get anything you need for your stay with no problem there. Mel and Mick are on hand with any more info you might need on any surrounding places of interest. We found the locals very friendly indeed and the roads roundabout easy to travel on to the very many places that you might like to visit. Mount Snowdon is a must on the little train which takes you to the summit and is about just over an hours drive away(don't plan on walking up unless you are very very very fit !). Barmouth is a lovely little seaside town, Bodnant gardens, Portmerrion, Welsh food centre, Betsy co-ed, all really interesting places for not much more than an hours travel. We didn't have enough time to visit all the places we'd have liked to, and we'd definitely like to return to visit the rest.
