We had dinner in Lohengrin on Saturday, in one word: perfect. It had been almost a year sice our last visit and we had been looking forward to our evening, for a good reason. Perch with asparagus, both perfectly cooked, veal with a sauce morilles (impeccable), delicious cheeses including a good choice of regional cheeses, very tasty Luxembourg ones and again THE ideal parfait for me and a delicious sabayon for my companion. A fruity Luxembourg Riesling and a very good bottle of cote rotie, together with a very wam welcome from the staff completed a memorable night out. Good addition this year is Yachting, a champagne 'bubbly' bar next door, for a relaxing apero or after dinner drink on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Try it out! Christianne, Luxembourg

I was visiting friends in Luxembourg. There was an art and wine festival along the Mosel river. My friends had heard of a old world style Hotel with a restaurant with a view the Mosel. When we arrived we got a good table by the window. There seemed to be a tour group who were down for an early dinner which seemed to be a set meal. The table behind us had a leisurely dinner but the people next to us left without getting their main. As they left, they said "life is too short to wait this long for my dinner!" We did have to remind them a few time for tap water which they brought out in a small container. Hardly enough for the three of us. It took ages to get our main dish. We all had picked a set menu. So now we had to wait for the dessert. It was getting late and we had a 1 hour drive ahead of us. The food was good, good presentation but there was no wow factor in the food. Things were a bit too heavy even though the plates looked like a modern food arrangement. If you want to hang out and watch the mosel go by it is a good place to stop at.

Being a regular customer of this restaurant I have mixed feelings. Quality of the served food is still good, there are no complaints about this at all, although the portions are sometimes rather small. These mixed feelings are due to the behaviour of the personel in service, such as the two male waiters who are polite but not at all customer friendly. They do not make customers feel welcome.

Old style service and a choice of excellent food at sensible prices. It felt natural to dress for dinner although not essential.

Traditional menu cooked to perfection, served by welcoming and helpful staff. Restaurant is part of a family owned hotel, we had a table with a view over the Mosel river and enjoyed a very tasty home made pate, a ' mille feuille' of beetroot and goat cheese, perfectly cooked salmon with tapenade and beef with peppersauce, Luxembourg cheeses (surpringly good) and a parfait of raspberries in a chocolate cover (heavenly) and crispy strawberry/rhubarb tart. Good winelist, we drank an excellent Luxembourgisch pinot noir, after a beautiful trip through the vineyards around Remich. We will certainly come back!
