We stayed here for one night while travelling south. The hotel has a great location, looking out over the Moselle, with good scope to walk or cycle alongside the river; it was also very peaceful at night. The hotel itself, though, could do with improvement. Our room had a good view of the river, but the decoration was rather worn, and the bathroom was minute, with barely room to turn round in it. The staff were helpful, but both the dinner and the continental breakfast, while passable, were fairly ordinary.

The menu card was really nice, but food did not live up to expections. The starters were fine, one soup and one melon and ham, but the mains were sad. One over cooked saint Peters fish and one well done Boeuf (should have been medium).

Stopped here for lunch as it had a terrace overlooking the Moselle river. The meal was fine but overpriced for what we had, probably because of the location. Service was slow and without much finesse. With this being at the heart of the Moselle wine route we expected a large range of local wines to choose from, however saying that of the few on offer we were recommended a couple of local wines which were delicious. The bathrooms could do with updating.

Hotel is at splendid location facing Moselle River and design of the hotel is such that every room catches majestic views from balcony. Staff was adorable, very polite, prompt and considerate and services blemish-less. It is 5 minutes walk away from the bus stop where one can catch a ride to Luxemburg, just walk past the bridge into Germany for Pizza or you can go to a winery just close-by to taste some wonderful white wine of the country. The location of this hotel is so delightful that one can easily ignore minor shortcomings here and there. Rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious and so are bathrooms. Food is good with decent variety and lovely taste. This place is just magnificent and suited for every type of visitors, I will gladly come back again.

We did not stay here, we stayed at Victors Residenze hotel Schloss- Berg Nennig, Germany, see my review! 4km from here.
At the risk of a barrage of complaint and the wrath of Western Europe, here goes. In the last 20 yrs British food, which I admit was once bad is now the best in Europe, without a doubt! They have taken the best of the rest and improved it. On my week long adventure through Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and France, (France has the worst food imaginable, other than China) and I know it's not in Europe, but I've been there, got the Tee Shirt! This hotel offered the best food within the whole week. It is ranked low within the town, it was Tuesday night and nowhere else was open! Good service, the best fillet steak on the tour, the veg were "Al Dente" which is what we like but then came the European staple diet, chips and more chips. Where are the boulangere, or the dauphinoise potatoes, things they are famous for? Is European cuisine loosing its grip? Bring on British Pub Grub, the best there is!

My wife and I stayed here in June 2006 at the end of a 3-day walking trek of the Moselle Valley in Luxembourg on the Sentier de la Moselle (Trail of the Moselle), north to south. The hotel is clean, modern, and well-run, and it faces the Moselle River. I think just about every room has a balcony area with a direct view of the river. Very pleasant. The staff seemed very efficient, competant, and courteous if not overly friendly. The bus station is a 5-minute walk away and Lux City is about a 30-minute bus ride from here. There are many places to eat in the center of Remich and other places to stay as well. The prices at the Esplanade are moderate compared to some of the others in the village. You can walk across the bridge to Germany if you choose and there is a pizza place just on the other side. Our favorite place in Remich was the St. Somebody's winery just up the main street (north) along the river. We sat outside, sampling some very interesting wines and watching the world go by.
