myself and my partner visited here while we were in kilkenny for the weekend. we went early in the morning so there was not many people around. there was a woman and her son and myself and my partner. when we arrived they did a show of a beared dragon and a snake, we were allowed hold them also. it was good as if it was packed i think we wouldnt of enjoyed it. after the show we went into a walk through place with turtles and all different types of lizards, this was fun adn u could touch them all with no fear. whihc i think was more enjoyable as we were on our own most of the time. after that we were free to walk around. the place is small but it was a bt of fun and something to do. i would recomend it for families with small kids as there is a playzone with a slide and ball pit and a cafe upstairs for the parents. it was 10 euro each to go in and was worth it as i learned a few things and got to see animals and hold them too. i would go again but i would bring a few kiddies along as they would enjoy it more. but worht a trip if u like animals. the staff were nice aswell so couldnt really fault it :)

Took the kids (9 and 6) and they had a blast. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. The chance to handles snakes / spiders was a bonus and even showed how little there is to fear. Kids bursting with questions throughout the walkaround and in the car afterwards.

This is a fantastic little treasure.Travelled with 5 children ranging from 11 to 6.All loved it.Only takes about 2hrs to get around and see everything but so worth it.Staff were open, friendly, knowledgable and so approachable. The opportunity to touch or handle Philip the boa constrictor was priceless and entry into the iguana enclosure a big surprise.Free tea/coffee for the adults and a little indoor picnic area makes this purse friendly.Definitely recommend and will return.Amazing to see the adults as excited as the kids!!!

We came with 2 kids, a twelve year old and six year old. It lasted about 2 hours and was great for everyone, especially the 6 year old. It is bigger than we expected and took us about 30 mins to walk round. My youngest then had a go in the ball pit while we had a drink. Then one of the staff bought a snake out. This is what makes it special. There were about 6 children who gathered round asking questions and touching the snake. It was very educational as well as fun for them. Then she bought out a lizard and then a taranchular. Then a few of us went into the tropical area. It is not cheap (30 euros for family) but not unreasonable. Very hands on fun and educational. We came on a weekend not part of the holiday season. I think if it was more busy it would not be as good. But this is a guess.
