We stayed in the Medieval Room on a Saturday night and were very impressed. The themed decor through both the room and the house was very effective; there was even a full suit of armour in the lobby!
Room was relaxing and four poster bed was very comfortable. All linens were fresh and clean. Our room had its own ensuite (no bathtub) and generous walk in robe with fridge. Port and chocolates nice touch. No other guests in the part of the house where we were so can't comment on noise, but we didn't find it an issue.
Property is set in beautiful bushland, walking distance to beach and park. There was a nice Beach Kiosk but not a lot of other dining options, so would recommend a car for a long stay. Parking was under trees on a pretty steep incline, but in a (non-lowered) sports car we had no problems. There might be off street parking also available but we didn't ask.
Host Theo was lovely and had the right balance between being attentive and friendly while also giving us space. Their dog did bark on occasion at people coming in and out but she was kept under control. There was no dog smell and we didn't hear her at night, but maybe mention to Theo if dogs make you nervous (we love them so enjoyed a chance for a pet).
Full breakfast was an extra bonus considering the already decent price!
Overall it is a lovely spot if you're looking in this area or for a relaxing getaway from Sydney. It is different to staying in a big hotel, but if you're happy with a homely atmosphere it is perfect. Would recommend.
