My wife and I stayed here on a B&B basis when we were attending the 50th Birthday bash of a good friend. The room was pleasant, clean and well presented. It was equipped with tea and coffee, TV and wifi and the various bathroom products that would be expected of a £100 a night accommodation. I have to say that we didn't find the bed that comfortable. Breakfast was very good with an excellent service. Kirtlington is a quiet, unassuming little village that, apart from a couple of pubs, doesn't have much to offer other than being very well placed for a visit to Oxford.

Room Tip: The location is very quiet but rooms above the bar will be noisier.

We first stayed at the Dashwood seven years ago and when we returned for our second visit at the weekend we were happy to see that the quality of the decor in the rooms had been kept to a nice standard. We were made to feel very welcome by Stuart when we arrived and immediately relaxed into our spacious room. The Dashwood has a great atmostphere - to some it is unclear how to classify the place (hotel, restaurant with rooms etc) but I would recommend spending less time worry about that and more time enjoying the relaxed feel of the place. My husband and I work all waking hours and often find it hard to relax but we felt so refreshed after our one night stay at the Dashwood.

We love the touch of luxury that we get at the Dashwood - the valentines sharing meal was lovely. The service was great and we did not feel rushed considering we were having a romantic meal. The bar is quite small but we were comfortable in there for drinks before our meal.

The only one negative thing I would say is that some of the female staff are not as personable as Stuart but this would not deter me from going again and is something that could be worked on.

We would definitely stay again and were looking to book a longer break in the near future.

If you are looking a comfortable and friendly stay in a quiet country village hotel look no further. A well run little hotel far from the madding crowds of Oxford a mere 30 minutes away. Friendly and helpful staff, affectionately known to the locals as The Dash offering a wide selection of meals a la carte or set course in the restaurant.
The executive double, room 2 in the main building was spacious and extremely comfortable.
The downstairs pub in the evenings is cosy and fills up later in the evening with a few locals.
Overall a highly recommended modern country village hotel.

We have stayed before after shopping at Bicester Village Outlet as we had done on this occasion. We stayed in room 6 which was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was large with bath and shower.

Dinner in the restaurant was very tasty, mushroom fricassee followed by homemade steak and kidney pie. Together with a nice bottle of red wine

Thank you Scott and all of the staff for a comfortable stay.

I stayed at the Dashwood this week for the first time. The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff helpful and friendly. However, my main reason for going back to The Dashwood in the future is the excellent food. Myself and 5 colleagues ate in the hotel restaurant and each one of us had a superb meal. The breakfast in the morning was equally as good.
I will definitely be staying again.

Room Tip: Room 7 is a twin bed room with a massive wet room fitted out for disabled guests.

Myself and my wife staied at Dashwood hotel, for four days, last week due to a business travel in Oxford.
Our room was clean and spacious, also the bathroom.
We feel that the hotel was not so full; one day we returned in our room around 4 p.m. but the staff still had to finish the cleaning.
We had dinner during first evening; we were the only customer in restaurant but it tooks our over two hours to dine (around half an hour to receive a simply cup of fresh pineapple and another dessert).
Last but not least, our cell phones was ever out of line, in bedroom and also in Kirtlington town; unconfortable for a business travel.

We spent there several days in November with my husband. Very nice place. Our room was in separate building and it was more like livivng in a country house than in a hotel. Both bedroom and bathroom are spacious. Very good breakfasts. Friendly staff. I'll definitely recomend The Dashwood to my friends
