Y GILLER ARMS is a pub with a camping field and does B and B, I have never stayed there, but have often been for a meal and a pint or two.
Its a Bathams pub - the only one outside the Midlands, apparently the owner of Bathams liked this part of North Wales. The beer is well kept, and although not my favourite, is very drinkable - bitter and mild available.
Public bar - stone floor, hard seats, small TV - you know the type of thing!
Games Room - pool mainly.
Lounge bar - large room with tables around for groups of any size. Real fire. Popular with the campers.
Dining room - only used on busy days, otherwise people eat in the Lounge.
Decking - beautiful area of decking outside the lounge bar with great views over a small lake.
Food? Well cooked and presented. Made on the premises, so it varies a little each time, but much better than the precooked fare in many pubs. The menu is not large and personally I wish they either had a little more variety, or changed it from time to time - perhaps a few "specials" would help.
Staff - mostly very friendly, none of the anti-English feeling you get in some pubs in this area.
One great plus I must mention - dogs allowed, although sometimes only in the public bar.More
