Did this walk in August 2010. Nice for children as well as adults. Staff so knowledgeable and helpful. Made our trip even better than it could have been.
Thank you

We really enjoyed the walk up into the hills. The scenery is stunning with rapids running past you and beautiful waterfalls. We went at October half term but unfortunately the visitor centre wasn't open so we had to take a photo of the map on our phone to navigate our way. Our children 12 and 14 really enjoyed exploring all the small streams and mini waterfalls coming in at angles and stepping out into the shallow waters near the bottom of the waterfall. I agree that would not be good for very small children and buggies but it is the countryside and is beautiful as it is - I would hate to see it adapted. As a free place of interest it is a MUST SEE! We also stopped in at the Angel Pub after our walk to rehydrate and was very welcoming.

We visited the Waterfall Centre in mid August. The information centre was small but had good information & a very help man who gave us lots of local guidance.
Due to the time of year we did not expect to much of the waterfalls but we were very surprised & saw 5 of the 7 waterfalls.
The paths to the first 2 are good, but once you get higher they become very narrow & steep in places. We were OK, but could see that it would cause problems if you had smaller children. It was also very slippery (it had just rained very heavily) & became more muddy the further you went.
That said the walks & views were fantastic & we are planning to go later in the year when there is more water.
The best bit was it was all free, so you can spend as much or little time as you like here without it costing a fortune, well done however looks after this.
Great for older families, walkers & couples. Not good for smaller children, buggies & the less able.

This visitor centre provides useful infomration ane excellent knowledge amongst its staff for anyone wanting to explore the famus waterfall walks in the area, although some of them are better accessed by driving further into the National Park from Pontneddfechan. However, there is no car parking, a lot of pubs with wheel clamping signs and a very average interpretation display in the visitor centre. There are about 10 parking spaces in the village, some used by locals, so a generally unwelcoming location to act as a Gateway to the Brecon Beacons,
