Our Easter break at this cottage was lovely.
Very spacious and as we were 7 adults, we all had plenty of room to relax.
Very modern, immaculately clean all mod cons. The views were spectacular.
On arrival Huw and Zoe had left us a lovely welcome pack of cakes, biscuits, tea, coffee etc. Once we'd unpacked Huw showed us how everything worked in the cottage. The kitchen is massive, very well equipped and the whole of the downstairs has underfloor heating, so we were never cold, and the log burner was wonderful.
The bedrooms, tastefully decorated and super clean.
Huw was very helpful when it came to places to visit, and anything else we needed to know about the area.
We're quite particular when it comes to finding places to stay, so if you're thinking of booking a stay here, do not hesitate, it truly is a gem.
We had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful cottage over the weekend. Superbly well equipped and plenty of room for 7 adults and three children! We very much appreciated both baths when it came to the babies' bedtime! We were fortunate enough to have glorious weather and took full advantage of the outdoor space, the stunning Elan Valley (very close!) and the beer garden of the local pub! I would highly recommend this cottage and hope to be back soon!
If I was to build my own holiday home then I would want it like this. That says it all. It is well proportioned with all mod cons. Worth every penny. Loads of space, bright, clean and airy. Great log burner and underfloor heating, this is February and we were cosy throughout the stay. Huw and Zoe are the perfect hosts providing everything you can think of and responsive to any question we had about the area. The house is located well for exploring Mid and South Wales. Book this and you will not be disappointed.
We've recently stayed at Maen llwyd, Huw and Zoe's stunning brand new cottage.
When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Huw and given a quick tour of the cottage which is even better than the pictures, everything is brand new and beautiful; we also were given complimentary logs and sticks for the traditional log fire in the living room, enough to see us through for a couple of days which was a lovely touch.
The surroundings are stunning and you're a 15 minute easy walk into the town centre that has many traditional shops, including a lovely cheese and herb place that was a dream for cooking and food lovers like us!
On food, the kitchen had literally everything and more which allowed us to do some great cooking whilst there, and again everything is brand new.
All in all it was the perfect trip and couldn't recommend this place more, thanks to Huw and Zoe for having us and can't wait to come back!
Warm regards and thanks

We loved this cottage it is brand new, decorated in a very smart but restful way. The views are wonderful, the woodburner wonderful to snuggle up in the evenings and the beds excellent quality and very comfortable. The bath is like a small swimming pool and the shower is of rainfall design, all very luxurious. Tesco is within a mile and a lovely selection of shops in Midleton Street. We visited the Elan Valley just outside Rhayader which is spectacular, took a trip to 'Water breaks its neck' waterfall and took many lovely walks. There is so much to do that we only just scratched the surface in a week. I can honestly say that this is the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. Zoe and Huw (the hosts) are attentive without being suffocating and the welcome pack a lovely gesture. We cannot recommend this cottage more strongly.
