We visited the honey farm expecting (after reading the reviews on here!) the staff to be unfriendly and unhelpful. It couldn't have been further from the truth! The staff in both the shop and the cafe were really friendly & welcoming. We visited the exhibition and found it very interesting and informative. Our children are 5 & 7 and they loved seeing the hives and the bees. We visited the cafe and had cream teas which were really nice, recommended! We didn't feel 'ripped off' at the price to go into the exhibition as we had a family ticket for just less than £10, the money goes towards the keep of the bees so quite happy to do our bit. Would recommend this place as somewhere to go when the weathers not great as its indoors.

We visited the honey farm last year and visited the café this year. The exhibition is fascinating and informative, but is small and overpriced. We felt at the time that the price perhaps reflected the cost of keeping the bees in healthy conditions and caring for them as the owners of the farm do. However, I don't know if we were being generous or realistic in this allowance. This year, we decided to try the café and this is why I have given a low rating for the attraction. I was looking forward to our visit, but the place was very busy and the staff could not cope. The drinks we ordered were okay, but they were very overpriced. I know that people have enjoyed the homemade cakes and food, but we could not afford the prices. If you are feeling comfortably off and have a healthy holiday budget, then I would recommend the exhibition and the cakes, provided the café is not busy......otherwise, have an ice cream in New Quay and a coffee at home!!

The bee displays were interesting but the owner seemed inconvenienced by our presence, perhaps someone with low social skills isn't the best choice of person to front a business.

We visited here towards the end of brilliant stay in New Quay West Wales however we all left the Honey Farm feeling very disappointed. The price was a little steep for what you got, but the main issue was the unfriendliness and rudeness of the staff. The women on reception could do with a course on customer service! Felt ripped off and angry on leaving.
We had an amazing time in New Quay, visited lots of attractions and found the places excellent days out, with the people being very friendly. But don't go here!!!
