Enjoyed a relaxing stay. Rooms were lovely, but had twin beds instead of queen or kings. Lovely bedding and nice beds overall. Scenic property. Traveled with the kids, who were disappointed that the pool was not open. I believe that it was unusually warm for April while we were there, but the website did not mention the pool being seasonal only, so we were surprised. Delicious dinner there, and their wine is quite good.
I was surprised that there is no way to have a tasting other than booking a formal weekend tour- it would be nice if the bar in the bodega would allow you to purchase small taster glasses of the various varietals rather than just ordering full glasses. Service by the bartender/waiter was excellent.
We did not have breakfast there as the reviews were mixed, but instead took a fellow TA's advice to go to the restaurant at the Repsol gas station that is on the drive to the hotel, just a 2 minute drive to the right from the hotel. While I was very skeptical about a gas station restaurant, it had nice espresso, and delicious homemade pastries and jamon sandwiches. Go figure.More
