Great atmosphere. Busy, bustling bar and restuarant. There were five of us. We all ordered a starter which was a mistake as they were huge. We could have shared. We would have also been better to as the waiter for some guidance re the menu. There was lots of choice on the menu. Some of the mains would have benefitted from more veg. Super setting for a Sunday lunch with a twist. Quite cheffie.

Room tip: We only had food this time but have stayed before.

We have just returned from a valentines weekend I planned for my husband. When we arrived, we went on a guided tour of the vineyard with a large group. Yolanda was our tour guide and was very friendly, as we were the only English people she translated into English which was very helpful. At the end of the tour we had a chance to sample the very good wine and tapas.
I had booked a junior suite as part of a package and we were not disappointed. The suite was spacious and beautifully decorated. The suite had a large four poster bed and huge jet bath. Even though it was very cold outside the temperature throughout the whole hotel was perfect with a log burning fire in the restaurant.
A five course dinner was also included in the package and having eaten at Michelin star restaurants this was just as good if not better. Scallops and sushi to start, a tempura goats cheese parcel with Serrano ham salad. An amazing mojito sorbet, followed by a mouth watering Iberian pork fillet with soufflé potatoes and a chocolate fondant cake with strawberries. We were so full that we could not manage the delicious dessert. The service was excellent. We slept so soundly as it is very quiet and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was just ok, more continental as the bacon was inedible. The freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee were very good.
My only negatives are, I booked to have wine and chocolate dipped strawberries in our suite but they were not there when we arrived, so I rang reception only to be told the kitchen were too busy and we could have them with dinner. I cancelled them and glad I did as we would not have been able to manage them as dinner was so filling. Their are no English speaking channels, only Spanish, most hotels have at least one English speaking channel, sky news or CNN.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

This is a gem, and worth a visit - great restaurant enjoyed the fantastic views over the Sierra Nevada, cosy wood burner stove in the main restaurant lots of interesting architecture and a wine shop selling their own wine, they also do tours at the weekends.
Food was very good, onion soup was lovely followed by the Iberian pork, the starters look expensive but they are large, would definitely return

Excellent stay - lovely, comfortable room, spectacular bathroom. Food very special & staff very attentive (without being intrusive). We did the tour, tasting & stay package - great value. The food may seem a little expensive when you look at the menu but, believe me, it is worth it.

We had a light lunch with friends. Seated on the terrace.
We ate a vegetable parcel and a selection of cheeses that were lovely, accompanied by some of the wine produced by the winery.
The location is very secluded. We felt that as we looked out from the winery towards the unspoilt hills that we were the only people in the world!

A lovely relaxing time
