We stayed mid-February - three adult couples - in the 3 bedroom condo (#35). The condo was perfect for us and the deck and view were amazing. The grounds are beautiful and the staff amazing. One little issue with the shuttle not picking us up but we made the best of it, started walking back, and caught a ride with a local. I was happy that our second stay was as good as our first and I can’t wait to come back for more! I’d highly recommend Hideaways.More

I’ve traveled the world stayed in many hotels . This property is a mess , bad outdated lobby btw what’s up with a gigantic stuffed bear on top of the concierge desk . Which by the way no one sits there . Complete neglect trash in hidden areas around the cottages . Old outdated room furniture. Terrible pool area complete mismatch of pool chairs. It looks like the bought things from a junkyard. Broken pool doors held by a plastic tube . Looby closes at 9pm and opens at 8 am . Staff is friendly they should go work at another hotel. Beach is a pawn Merki water . Jolly beach is 5 minutes away at least . Restaurant not so good and staff rude . Giving this property excellent is very disingenuous. For what they charge plus $35.00 daily fee and another $16 of electricity fee it’s a bit to much on top of the room rate . And for this dump . Stay away

We stayed for 5 days & loved every minute of it! So much, that we are now planning a return trip! We stayed in the Island Time Villas across the street & it was perfect for us. Nothing fancy, but had all the necessities needed & was always clean & tidy. I loved that the resort had stand up paddle boards & kayaks & a shuttle into town for guests free of charge. Such a nice perk! For being such a small island, there is so much to see & do! We walked to Hooper's Bay to see the turtles, took a full day excursion with 4C's to swim with the pigs, feed iguanas, swim with sharks & snorkel in the grotto, it was sooooo much fun!! We rented a car, which I recommend doing at LEAST one day to get to the MUST SEE spots on the island; BEAUTIFUL Coco Plum beach during low tide to experience the HUGE sand bar, & swing on the swings in the ocean. SO SEREIL! We found TONS of sand dollars here! And Tropic of Cancer beach in Little Exuma. It's another BEAUTIFUL beach, warm, SUPER clear water & TONS of star fish! We loved the fact that there were hardly anyone at the beaches when we went, so you practically had the beach to yourself & no high rise buildings to deture from the beauty of Exuma. It's truly a place where it will make you crave for more! Food is a little pricey & everyone is on island time, so be prepared to wait anywhere you go for food. Everyone is super friendly & helpful. I needed help changing my excursion date & my phone wasn't working. The girl at the front desk let me use the phone there, but it wasn't working either, so she let me use her personal cell phone to call! Exuma is a beach lovers DREAM! They call it the Maldives of the Bahamas, & it's true! The water color here is UNBELIEVABLY BEAUTIFUL!! There was so much more we didn't get to see & do, but everything about our trip was perfect & we can't WAIT to come back!!

We just got back from a 5 night stay at Hideaways and our trip was absolutely perfect. The little resort was everything we hoped for and more. First of all, we stayed in one of their little - 2 bedroom - cabins. It was spotless when we checked in and they cleaned it every day to the same spotless standard. The shower was hot, the refrigerator cold and AC was set at a cool 72... Everyone at the resort was friendly and helpful. Even before we checked in they helped us set up a taxi, a rental car, and an all day excursion (through Roberts Island Excursion) to feed the pigs, swim with sharks and see the iguanas. (I'll write a separate review of Roberts but let me just say here that likewise, it was an outstanding excursion and I would highly recommend it.) A few of the things we liked most about Hideaways are: Clean and cool pool (but not cold), sandy beach, plenty of lounges by the pool and on the beach, the bungalows and the proximity to the town and airport. We rented a car for 2 days which worked out great but I wouldn't say you'd necessary require it because Hideaways offers free shuttle services to and from George Town to get supplies for the little kitchen. I could go on and on about this place. Let's just say, you will not be disappointed. WE WILL BE BACK FOR SURE.

Absolutely enjoyed our week stay at Hideaways. Felt like a home away from home. Hideaways is a quaint resort, nothing flashy. Nice sized pool to cool off, and great waterfront view. Staff was incredibly friendly and the shuttle into Georgetown was nice to have. A short walk over to Jolly Hall Beach, and you feel like you have your own private island oasis. The units are a little outdated, but are very roomy and have everything you need. Very clean!! We were literally planning our next visit before we even left! Can’t wait to go back.

Was there for 3 days flying in with our plane. Fantastic Odyssey FBO and 20 minutes drive to this resort. We had a studio across the street but we given access to the facilities.
Great pool and beach. Splash restaurant on premises offer good local food but staff need to learn to be courteous and smiling.
Family and children friendly. Rent a bungalow if available.
