We recently spent three nights at Royal Pines and were very impressed with the resort and staff. As we are RACV members we were upgraded to the level 20 spa suite which was very spacious and modern.

The resort facilities are well maintained and easy to book.

The buffet breakfast was well organised and all staff were friendly and helpful. We look forward to visiting again and will certainly recommend Royal Pines to our friends and family.

Dear MKKCDF

Thanks for your review and it was great to read how much you enjoyed your recent stay with us. The Spa Suites are great aren't they - we get a lot of positive feedback about the size of the rooms, the views and the great value they represent.

Buffet breakfast in Kalinda restaurant is a popular dining option at the resort and again, great to read your positive comments about the friendliness of the staff. We look forward to welcoming you back and to welcoming your family and friends

Kind Regards

Royal Pines good resort that does not quite deliver what they advertise on their net site. They say, choice of four restaurants but that's not the truth. The Italian is open every night. The Japanese Wednesday - Sunday. Their flagship Videre only Wednesday to Saturday. Kalinda seafood only Friday and Saturday. Great if you come late in the week. The Italian restaurant is probably great in summer with indoor/outdoor eating but is draughty in winter if you don't have a table out of the breeze and somewhere near a as heater. However, if you come early in the week there is only a choice of one so if you are here a few days, it's restaurant repeat. Food is good and service is good but the advertised choice is lacking. Restaurants are reasonably expensive. Golf at present is limited to their "Blue " course as work is being done on 9 holes so that course is closed. Again, it's a case of repeat. Very enjoyable but would have been nice to be able to play the advertised 27 holes. If 27 are not available for an extended period, potential guest should be advised.

Room Tip: We had room 1720 - king bed, great view over the golf course and to Surfers high rise.

Dear Noela R
We appreciate you taking the time to post a review about your recent visit here. Our flagship restaurant, Videre, is open Wednesday to Saturday and Trattoria Amicia is open 7 nights - our other restaurants are open at a minimum on the nights you have mentioned but also, dependent on occupancy, will open additional nights so in most weeks of the year there are additional restaurant options available. Thanks you for your comments on the quality of both the food and the service.
In regard to golf we are doing a lot of work on the courses in preparation for the PGA Championship - being hosted at Royal Pines in November this year. This has necessitated two occasions when we had to close 9 holes but, only for 2 days each time for preparatory renovation - outside of those 4 days in total all 27 holes are open and expect to be so in the future.
My apologies for the golfing inconvenience you experienced - hopefully you will return to play our upgraded and improved course in the future
Kind regards

We stayed for 2 nights over the long weekend in June and had a great time. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent from start to finish. If I had to say anything negative it would have to be the lifts...the wait was incredible, admittedly it was very busy with conferences and events, but certainly something that needs to be addressed. But it hasn't out me off going back. Sort out the lift situation and I would have definitely give 5 stars :)

Room Tip: We were on level nine and the kids looked seeing "the castle"!! Views were great.

Dear Melanie K

Thanks for your review and delighted that you enjoyed your stay so much. Our Executive Chef is getting some great reviews about his food - in all areas - which is a great endorsement of his team. We are also getting some great comments about the service at the resort and comments such as yours are a great lift to the team here when shared with them.

In regard to the lifts, we are well on the way way through our lift refurbishment program - we have 2 completely refurbished, one nearly complete and one more to go. Unfortunately at times of very high occupancy there can be delays with only three lifts in operation (the June weekend we were 100% full) but, this is a short term issue and we are looking forward to all 4 lifts being in operation shortly. Accordingly we look forward to welcoming you back in the not too distant future!

I stayed at the royal pines resort for 2 nights while my partner attended a conference there. We were upgraded to a spa suite on the 20th floor. The room was lovely. Very comfortable and the views over the golf course, towards broadbeach were
amazing! I found all staff to be friendly and the food at the breakfast buffet and also at the function we attended was great. Overall my stay was very relaxing and I enjoyed the in room spa very much.

Dear Sam C
Thanks for your positive review or RACV Royal Pines. The Spa Suites are a great accommodation option - at 54 square metres they provide a great deal of space and the floor to ceiling views of the Gold Coast are always impressive - even more so from the higher floors! And there's nothing quite as indulgent as your very own spa when away from home - glad you got the chance to enjoy it!
I will let Chef know about you comments about the breakfast and function food - he always appreciates positive feedback. Thanks again and we look forward to hopefully welcoming you back in the future

This is a fantastic place to stay - especially if you have children under 12 because they eat for free in Kalinda Restaurant. Every time we travel to the Gold Coast, we stay at Royal Pines. I think once you try it, you won't go anywhere else! The suites are comfortable and quite modern with 2 double beds. In room dining is delicious and with 2 young children we tend to order 1 serving of Spaghetti and it's more than enough to keep them satisfied!! They really love the jumping pillow in the playground and enjoy the slide in the swimming pool too. Staff have always proven to be friendly and helpful. We just love the buffet breaky and it's also handy to have valet parking too!!

Room Tip: If you want to experience the BEST buffet breakfast, look no further!! Deeeeeelish!

Dear Roast Lover

Thanks you for your review and delighted to read that you are such a regualr visitor to Royal Pines. I was pleased to read your thoughts on the breakfast buffet - we have a new (well a few months now) Executive Chef who has done a lot of work on the buffet content and presentation and we are getting great feedback from guests about it.

The kids playground is also a hit, with the massive jumping pillow very popular - my theory is that a lot of the parents encourage their kids to use it so they can jump on it with them..... there is a little kid in all of us!

Thanks again for your review and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

Royal Pines was our base for a 5 day golfing break, and proved to be the perfect choice. The staff we brilliant - they booked our games with the courses (Royal Pines, The Glades & Lakelands), arranged our transport and helped store our clubs. Nothing seemed to be too much bother for them.

Our room was quiet, clean, well appointed and had a great view.

The choice of restaurants in the complex was pleasing, and despite the number of people staying in the resort (the venue of an international conference at the time) we had no difficulty with reservations or service. Breakfast was a real treat because of the range of fresh produce and freshly made hot options. Lindt tea bags in a range of flavours were fantastic!

The Golf Pro shop was the best we had seen in a long time, with an extensive array of quality items.

It's within a short taxi ride of places like Broadbeach and Surfers, but who needs to leave the complex when it provides so much choice?

Dear AussieBoomers

Thank you for taking the time to complete a Trip Advisor review and thank you for your kind words about your recent stay here. It was great to read how well the Pro Shop and golf team looked after your group and that the service was seamless.
One of the popular aspects of Royal Pines is the variety of cuisines available through the many restaurants we have - thus ensuring variety in dining for guests here for a few days. The Lindt tea bags on the breakfast buffet are a new addition to the buffet selection and have proved a real hit - the Food and Beverage Manager was really pleased to see your comments on this new feature...!
Thanks again - as a golfer hopefully we will have you back soon - work is already underway to change the course design for the upcoming PGA Championship in November and then after the Australian Ladies Masters in February we will start on the redesign of the course. Exciting golfing times!!

I was presenting at the AusCERT 2013 conference in the RACV Royal Pines resort in May 2013. I was there for seven nights. This is undoubtedly one of the best resorts I've ever been to. The place is amazingly neat and people are very friendly. They have a wonderful view for each and every room, so you dont miss anything... The dining area is also pretty refreshing (except for the very cold mornings). Food is great and provides pretty good value for money. They have a free business center for you to take print outs of your air tickets etc.

The hotel pick-up and drop-off shuttle to Surfers Paradise is also really nice, convenient and provides timely service and the drivers are very courteous. Overall a 5 star from me...
