Beautiful beach, great food, nothing to do but relax, swim and read books. Had a lovely time at Lazy beach.

Having been to numerous gorgeous islands in south east Asia, this rates as one of our best stays yet. The accommodation is great, beautiful big verandas with hammocks, a perfect stretch of beach, wonderful restaurant and bar, lovely staff and some really nice extra touches like board games and book swap options if you want to get out of the sun for a while.

We loved it and were sad to leave!

If the thought of being on a tropical island tickles your imagination, consider this island.$30.00 a hut(has two good king beds with good mozzie nets)Squeeze in 5/6 people if you wish. The restaurant serves fresh food and veg, witnessed local fisherman selling every day we were there. Ate squid stuffed with minced pork, YUM! also the best prawns. Must admit I paid no attention to spending until bill paying time. Stayed three nights plus $10 each way on the boat, drank and ate A LOT plus bought pressies and souvenir stuff, all came to about $55.00 a day each. They tell me that stressed people usually take 2-3 days to 'chill'. The kitchen is run by Ken who has trained up his sister in the kitchen who in turn is teaching other family members to a high standard. They have their own vegie patch and orchard. Boardgames aplenty. Hammocks and swinging thingos, large lounges. Pretty good snorkelling and mind blowing luminescence at night. The swim out to the boat shocks some but is all part of the adventure. Good walks. we will be back guys. Thankyou.

We spent the first days of our holidays on lazy beach. We didn't announce our arrival, just took a boattrip to the island, walked through to jungle and arrived in this little paradise where we were welcomed by Carrie and Jay. Initially we planned to stay for about 3 days but ended up staying for a week. It was very relaxed and quiet here... Everything was amazing, from beginning to end, food, drinks, nature, staff, dogs, bungalows, sea...

This island really is the secluded getaway that I had hoped for - a 2 hour boat ride from the mainland to the middle of nowhere.

The accommodation is set up really well so that you often feel like you are the only people on the island. The bungalows are quite nicely made - plus you have your own bathroom, balcony and hammocks. The only drawback was that the rooms can get very hot at night, especially with the mosquito nets down.

We stayed for 3 nights, but you could easily stay for a week. I really recommend doing this as the last part of your trip though - as it's hard to get back in the mood for the full-on nature of a Cambodian city after relaxing on the island.

Food really was excellent - I thought they may inflate their prices dramatically as there are no other options, but the food and drink was perfectly priced. You could quite easily eat and drink well for $20-25 per person a day. I was seriously impressed with the quality of the food (both Asian and western) as there was only one dish that wasn't great (the pancakes) - but the Amok, pad thai and beef burgers were all stand-outs.

It was great having nothing to do; just swimming, playing board games, eating and drinking - but I would love to see more books/magazines available. Some canoes/kayaks to hire would be a very nice addition. These are only small things that would add to the experience as the whole stay really was relaxing and memorable.

Can't recommend enough!
