Bungalows spacious and clean, spread out along the beach. Very peaceful and quiet. The beach is beautiful and clean

Disappointed with the food and the difficulty is you have little choice but to use the facilities.

Room Tip: Some bungalow are set back off the beach. I think it's just luck

We spent 3 nights at the Lazy beach and couldn't enjoy it more. After reading all the excellent reviews the expectations were high and even so well exceeded! It was basic bungalows with two large beds, you can easily sleep 4 people if you want to. The bathroom felt new and was clean and had everything you need. Staff was super service minded and you got the feeling of being at place where everybody enjoyed themselves, regardless if you are there as guest or as one of the staff members. Food was excellent, one of the best we had in Cambodia for sure. First we visited the other side of the island and if you are looking for several places to choose between and a more intense atmosphere that's probably a better choice. If you want to have a paradise beach almost for you self with plenty of place to hang out, snorkelling areas and relaxing time then you shall stay on the Lazy beach side of the island. If you have time when passing by the Cambodian coast we could really recommend to stay a couple of nights at the Lazy beach, it's well worth the boat trip of approx. 2:45 that it takes to get there.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at lazy beach for 3 nights while travelling through Asia. We loved our bungalow which felt so private and was right on the beautiful and quiet beach. The restaurant served good food with lots of variety and it was reasonably priced. Staff were so friendly. We spent the days swimming walking and relaxing highly recommend!

Absolutely loved it - 2 nights wasn’t enough! Felt truly relaxed & away from the rest of the world out here. The isolation was just what we wanted – did nothing more than a bit of snorkelling, reading in our hammocks and playing ping pong. Yes the bungalows are extremely basic (but this was just as we expected), you definitely need a torch and there are lizards just chilling in the bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised about the bugs – a mosquito net & repellent did the trick and I didn’t see any spiders! I appreciated the guide about using the loo that was pinned up in the room (non-flushing toilet) and I was amazed to even get a hot water shower!
The staff were great – thoroughly enjoyed drinks in the bar with them and the whole atmosphere was really friendly. We chatted with lots of other guests but it’s also easy to get some privacy if you want. Food was delicious, particularly the fresh fish and the menu had everything we wanted – including plenty of cocktails!
We would definitely return – it’s probably the best beach I’ve ever seen. I only hope it doesn’t get too popular...

Great place so long as you can handle a basic life style. Food great, but maybe more fresh fish and squid would make it even better. Rooms are what they say on the tin; comfortable beds with mossy nets and basic bathroom which could tend to smell, but very cheap - as was the food and drink. Staff highly efficient and attentive but not in your face. Room cleaned on an 'as required basis', ask and it is done. In view of sand flies, maybe could do with something to lie on when on the beach. Main area is fantastic and seriously well designed. Beach cleaned every day and good swimming. Way better to be staying here than on the other, busier side of the island. Boat time is circa 2hrs 45mins.

We stayed here for six nights and had a wonderful time.
We cabins are basic but are clean and we didn't need anything else.
The restaurant/bar was wonderful, it was a big relaxing area with a variety of sitting areas, the food there was also great and plenty of varieties for vegetarians.
We left extremely relaxed and rested and can't wait to return one day.

All prevous reviews are very accurate, make sure you bring some good books to read. Staff are all friendly and certianly not in your face. Menu was comprehensive and all we had was cooked and presented well, The Pad Thai was perfect. The Mozzies were what we expected and are controlled by insect repellent and Mozzie nets. The sandflies however are not, these unseen little blighters dont make their presence known until after they have done their damage. Even using "bushmans" 80% deet did not deter them. After 4 very relaxing days and nights we needed to leave. I would be cautious coming here with young children who may have sensitive skin. What a joy to swim in clean water on a clean beach, quite a novelty for SE asia. Really appreciated that someone cleaned up the flotsam on the beach every morning. Snorkelling is an activity but hardly wonderful.

Room Tip: we had bungalow 7, perfect. odd numbers are on the beach, evens are set back. anything more than 9...
