We stayed in this place with a G Adventures group. The linen and towels weren't clean but then the bathrooms weren't either!

The bar and pool were full of locals and the music was loud.

The bar only did one set menu for $14 which was too expensive for us.

There is nothing to do in the area and it's not worth a visit.

Not bad by Cuban standards, the swimming pool was full of locals and the food nothing to write home about. Breakfast was served in a restaurant overlooking the pool and evening meals were by the pool, not much of a selection from either venue.

Clearly not up to first world standards, e.g. no Internet, but acceptable. Convenient to multiple ecotourism destinations in Parque Nacional La Güira by car. Food at the restaurant was adequate, though nothing to rave about. (In general, Cuban food isn't, relative to the rest of the Caribbean and Latin America.) This hotel certainly isn't worth a special trip but if you need to be in the area, you won't do better.

We had booked 3 nights at this hotel. The review in the Rough Guide said it was a peaceful retreat, close to the hot baths. As the previous report stated, the baths are closed, the glass doors smashed in and the whole place liiks awful.
The hotel itself looks quite good at 1st, the pool and gardens are nice enough.
However, very loud music is played non stop ( unless there's a power cut) too loud to even have a conversation in your room. In the dining room, we appeared to be the only guests, but there was constant loud noise ( yes, 24 hours) from many of the other rooms. These unseen residents never left their rooms,,food was taken in to them, and the empty plates taken away. They were shouting, screaming, fighting and throwing things about all night.
Don't go anywhere near the place, it's an absolute nightmare.

My husband and I went to this hotel for our last night in Cuba as a stop off between vinales and Havana after reading in the lonely planet that there were mud baths nearby. We thought mud baths could be a really fun and interesting way of spending our last night there - and they would have been, but apparently the baths have been closed for over a year!

So we ended up in this hotel in the middle of nowhere with absolutely nothing to do. Luckily the hotel has a nice pool so we sat around that all day reading a book, but we are not lounging-by-the pool type of people so soon became bored.

The room wasn’t great, quite uncomfortable and had two small windows up high. The other windows faced onto a passage so could not be opened or people would see all the way in.

I’m sure if the baths had been open it would have been fine as the hotel is laid out nicely, the food ok for Cuba and the BBQ restaurant was in a pleasant setting. But as it was, it was certainly not worth the trip.
