We rarely stay in B&b but this was lovely, we had room 6 with a side view of the sea, puffin island and Anglesey. The rooms and bathrooms had recently been refurbished very tastefully. Plenty free parking and a5min drive from Conwy, 12 miles from Bangor. The pub downstairs had a nice atmosphere for a drink, we didn't eat here. Breakfast had a good choice from full breakfast to smoked salmon and scrambled egg, juices etc. would stay again.

This hotel is well located just outside Conwy, just off the A55 North Wales Express Way. It is quite small but the rooms are a good size, comfortable, nicely decorated and well equipped, the only problem we found was that the mattress on the double bed was very hard.
The food served in the bar downstairs was fairly traditional pub type food but was all home made to a high standard.
The staff couldn't have been more friendly, polite and helpful.
Although the main road is close by there was no road noise to speak of, there are lovely views from the front of the hotel across the bay.
Overall a great place to stay for a couple of nights.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front directly overlook the bay.

Stayed here a few times over the last 20 years and seen some great changes. As it is now we have stayed 3 or 4 times. Nice friendly place , staff are great . After a few visits thouth you do notice things. The menu is very limited , not much in the way of healthy options. Room 4 we had this time , great views if you can ignore the A55 below. The room itself is nice , very clean , water ,chocs and biscuits. The TV is a bit high up on the wall and the shower a bit fidly. Breakfast was good and though the breakfast room has been moved to a better place than it was before it needs some touches to give it the finished feel. I only live 30 mins away and stay here for a relaxing night away and a nice meal and the live music on a Saturday , met some great people here. Worth a visit.

Room Tip: Room 1 great views over the sea

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights midweek in Room 1. It was roomy, clean and comfortable and what a view! The big picture windows looked straight out onto a field of sheep, a road, an infrequently used railway line (about twice an hour ceasing in the evening) the sea and Puffin Island - we were even able to see the Isle of Man on one evening and the distant flashing of a lighthouse.

If you have concerns about the railway or dual carriageway in front, don't - neither was actually as busy as we expected and the double glazing and insulation is such that you can't hear it anyway and it certainly didn't spoil our sleep. Being able to lie in bed and look out to sea was worth it alone.

The staff are smart, helpful, friendly and very polite. I discovered that it is a family business, which, in my opinion, always makes a positive difference.

The whole place is intriguing, the interior is spacious but informal and quirky, and we liked that.

Food was very good, I suppose the menu is largely typical of this type of establishment but it was well cooked, nicely presented and very reasonable. Breakfast (included) offered a menu of choices for all tastes - from full English to poached eggs on toast or continental - the scrambled egg and salmon was lovely. Set us up for the day nicely.

If we have occasion to be in that area again, which is possible, The Gladstone will certainly be our first choice.

Room Tip: Room 1 we can recommend from personal experience. We did have a peek into Room 4 in passing, with it...

Me and girl friend stayed here in June, upon arrival we were greated by the friendly staff . we had room two, the views were amazing from the room and decor very modern, the four poster bed topped it all off! Breakfast each morning was very good. WWould recommend anyone to go and stay here, I've now just arranged for my parents to stay soon on my recommendation!

Myself and my fiancé stopped here for 2 nights as my finances parents were stopping in the caravan park just up from this establishment. Check in was easy. We had room 1. It was a lovely spacious room and en suite, overlooking the sea front. All was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were plentiful and yummy. There were some nice ales on sale in the pub below, and on the Saturday night there was live music too. The B&B is well situated, just a short drive to Conwy and a little longer drive to the Orme. Both of which I would recommend. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Room Tip: Room 1 is great with lovely views and room 2 is the four poster room, also with excellent views.

We were invited to a dinner organised by a club we belong to.

We had a really good meal, there was plenty of it, great service, a live band, dancing. All in all it was a great night.

As we aren't local we booked in for bed and breakfast. The rooms are lovely, with amazing views and we had a superb full blown breakfast.
