It was through trip advisor that we booked our stay and the reviews do not lie. I booked 2 nights over valentines and I'm proud to say I made a great choice (I've been in the good books ever since because of it!!). The guys are so welcoming with a real relaxed flair which feels completely genuine.
The food is wonderful with a wide selection of wine. Having attempted Snowden unsuccessfully it felt great to know we would be coming back to a gorgeous meal accompanied with a lovely glass of red sat in a beautifully themed and warm hotel with friendly hosts.
Over breakfast (which is fantastic...the perfect start)The guys gave us some great local information on where to walk that day. I have to say the walk of the two lakes was breathe taking which we would have never found ourselves, thanks guys!
I've never written a review before but the expereince we had at this privately owned hotel makes you want to rave about it. We would never stay anywhere else now in Snowdonia and will most definitely be coming back.

Room Tip: For the meal go for the Jaguar Tofte with a nice bottle of Red yummy. I presume all the rooms are amazing.... We stayed in Room 3!

Our 5th long weekend visit to Tir y Coed having stayed there every year for the past 5 years! A truly wonderful place to stay with hosts that always make you feel so welcome and at home in Tir y Coed. Bedrooms are very stylishly decorated and comfortable, the food is so delicious and always well presented. It is always nice to see what new spirits are on offer with recommendations made! The attention to detail has consistently been excellent in the five years we have visited and we will certainly be booking our 6th visit soon!

I strongly recommend Tir y Coed as a place to stay or simply go and dine at. You will be missing out if you do not!

Our first visit to Tir y Coed we dinned in the garden room. No doubt this is a special place in every way made so by the owners.
Every thing is taken care of and the quality of the food is the best in the area. You will have to book in advance as it is a busy venue.

Indulge yourself. We had a quality experience from arrival to departure with comfort and courtesy the norm together with good food served in a calm and pleasant manner. As pensioners we will not be going often but will indulge ourselves on special occasions.

We arrived later than expected on a winters evening to be welcomed by Ian. A lovely glass of wine appeared and we were left to relax. This is a truly wonderful country house hotel: the food is delicious and the surroundings exceptional. We had planned a walking weekend and the weather kept its promise, no rain and on Sunday beautiful sunshine. The breakfasts were perfect, fresh fruit, bread and the most amazing bacon. Dinner on Saturday was perfect. Cannot wait to return.
