“A great place to stop!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2014

The "tourist trap" is a dive of a gem on the far side of St. John. We stopped several times after being at Salt Pond beach. Great food and they have a drink called a "boom boom" that is fantastic! All the gals working there were friendly and fun to talk with.

“Tasty sandwiches, fresh ingredients”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2014

For a roadside drop in place, the Tourist Trap was surprisingly good. Fresh grouper sandwiches. My friends loved the pulled pork. Home made ice tea was a treat. Wait staff is lively and attentive.

“Excellent Spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2014

The Tourist Trap is fantastic after a day at Salt Pond or Lamesur. We have enjoyed watching the tents expand over the past several years. It is always a treat to get the lobster roll or fish tacos. Larry who, like us, hails from NH is a great host as is everyone else. And the local micro brew Drunk Bay beer that you can't buy in the stores is a perfect drink. Now that they take credit cards it is even easier.

“Great Food on St John”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 1, 2014

This is not a luxury dining experience by any means, but it is one of the best places to eat on St John. Now that they take credit cards it is much more convenient to visit The Tourist Trap. Anything pulled pork they make is amazing; you will not be disappointed. If you go to Saltpond Bay or either of the Lameshur Bays, do yourself a favor and stop by for lunch.

“Great Lunch Spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2014

We spent a week on St. John and this is the only place that we visited twice. Both days we shared the lobster roll and pulled pork sandwich, both were fantastic. It is all outdoor, but that is no problem there. The service was special; the servers actually engaged in conversation and were genuinely interested in the conversation. I had a local beer that was good too. You must try this place.
