Good atmosphere.
Fresh juice and tasty food.
It was like being in France.
Friendly owner and staff.
I has a fresh Salmon salad, followed by a mousse au 3 chocolate, superb.

“Very good French pastries and quiches”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

Had a delicious breakfast with Croissant aux Amandes, coffee (Nespresso) and Apple Juice for RM20. Also had a yummy quiche. My friends had very good scramble eggs.
Not the best location though and easy to miss as it's on the way to Pantai Tengah, not on the main stretch of Pantai Cenang.
Not the cheapest place for breakfast, but definately good value as the food is delicious.
Must try!

“Yum”
Reviewed January 30, 2013 via mobile

This little patisserie puts some French patisseries to shame. Beautifully fresh ingredients, healthy portions, soft freshly baked bread, relaxed atmosphere and location just far enough away from the noise to enjoy a selection of teas, coffees and juices in peace, whilst availing of the wifi.
I had the salad niscoise, served with freshly baked baguette and freshly squeezed lemon juice. I left with a tarte au chocolat, although full, it seemed wrong to leave it behind and I'm glad I didn't.
While I like to eat local food when traveling, La Chocotaine deserves praise for doing such a great job of bringing authentic French cuisine to Malaysia. A must try for a treat!

“Very French”
Reviewed January 19, 2013 via mobile

I had passed by this place many times without noticing it. It is by the road side of Pantai Tengah but a little bit further inside than other restaurants and cafes. So it's easy to miss. I finally visited the place looking for a coffee break on a busy hot afternoon.

The ambiance of a French bistro in the midst of Langkawi came as a surprise. So did the unexpected greeting in French by the owner who I thought was one of the customers enjoying his cafe au lait.

They have a wide selection of very good pastry, delicious coffee, good selection of teas. I found out that they are also open for breakfast at 9am and the menu looks good.

There is also wifi and the place is very peaceful and quiet.
