Stayed here in December 2012 for our second stay, we have had an excellent meal both times, very impressed with the chef, service in the restaurant was outstanding, rooms are very nice, near to London and local attractions, whats not to like?

Room Tip: The penthouse is worth the extra cost

Stopped over on a business trip and the lady receptionst was not very welcoming, but thats the only negative i can give you, the restaurants food is excellant and the team in the restaurant are very good and helpfull,
The rooms are very well kept and the beds are very comfortable, shower room very good, one more problem was no sky sports in room , but if you check the website it states there is so be aware, this is the second time i have stopped there and they have not had sky working, however they welcome you into the confrence room and you can watch it there, just ask one of the staff in the restaurant and they quickly sort it for you,so over all i would like to recomend this hotel and i hope your stay is as good as my last two stays.thank you all at the Manor

3 double rooms on family trip. Problems with cleanliness in one onsuite toilet. Staff very apologetic and immediately upgraded.Overall very pleasant stay and would reccomend to anyone who wanted to stay in rural environment on outskirts of London, but within easy reach (2-3 miles) of train to central London. Food good and bar prices very reasonable.Would definately stay again. Staff very helpful, even printed off map of area.

Room Tip: Rooms to front are quieter - air con can be heard to rear

Firstly it's so nice to be able to eat at a restaurant around here that isn't a chain.
We first came to The Manor 8 yrs ago for my mother-in-laws 80th birthday. We have been several times since and again this month for her 88th birthday. Each time we have been the food has been of a consistently high standard, whether it has been for Sunday lunch or from the a la carte menu. The food is lovely and beautifully presented. The service is attentive, but discreet. The decor is modern and very comfortable. Definitely to be recommended for a special occasion - or just to treat yourself to something a little different.

We live in the Romford area and thought we would try The Manor to celebrate a family birthday. There were four of us and we each chose a different dish from the menu.

It’s been a very long time since we have ventured to the Rainham area as we all recall that many years ago where this hotel is situate its former use was a night club (quite shabby and run down) at that time.

What a nice surprise to see this smart hotel in its place! The décor is attractive and there is a small bar area where you can sit, order drinks and chat until your table is ready.

Tables are set apart from each other so you have some privacy at dinner. Friendly and attentive waiters.

The food was of a high standard - the sea bass was cooked perfect. Two of our party had fish and the other two of us ordered chicken with accompanying side dish of vegetables. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the dessert menu was delicious. Crème brulee (for me) and the rest of our party had either cheese/biscuits or pear & apple crumble with custard or vanilla ice cream. Delicious!

Expect to pay around £23+ per head but well worth it.

Would recommend and already looking forward to dining at the Manor again sometime soon.

Enjoy!
