We were met at Male and had a really easy transfer to Six Senese despite the torrential downpour when we arrived! Our ocean beach villa with pool was fantastic, views to the ocean to die for and the “no shoes no news” beach chic vibe is exactly what we wanted after our previous visit to Gili Lankanfushi. Our GEM Ali was absolutely fantastic, laid back but uber responsive a true gentlemen. We needed up staying another night and this was all sorted seamlessly and Ali was always there when needed - I hope if we are lucky enough to return he is our GEM again. The gentlemen who looked after our Villla, cleaning and turn down was called Asif. He is a true credit to the organisation- smiley, happy interactive and great at his job, our son loved both Ali and Asif. All of the staff at the pool bar and chill bar (apologies I don’t recall names) were really excellent and interactive with our son which was lovely and important to us. Jo, who ran the sea grass snorkelling trip was great as were the other teams that took us on the dolphin cruise and out to the other snorkel sites. one amazing highlight was the turtle hatching that we were truly lucky to see.

The villa was well appointed and having stayed at six senses in yao noi a couple of times we knew what to expect. The little touches like after sun shampoo and conditioner are really nice as is the outside shower that was such a relaxing start to the day. The kids food was amazing - no matter where we were we could order what he wanted even if not on the menu - something that was very much appreciated. Our dinners whether in villa, at chill bar or Zen or Leaf were all absolutely delicious.

Overall, the fact that the GM Marteyne has been at this property for so long shows - it’s a really well run seamless property that if you like the rustic style should suit you well. We had such a great time this week back at work has been tough so we’ve been looking at booking again for this summer....More
