We stayed for 8 nights in a water villa and had a magical stay. Great choice of dining and beautiful views from all corners of the island with the most amazing sunsets. All our needs were met with our fantastic GEM Aslah! Would come back in a heartbeat!

Six Senses Laamu was an absolute dream come true. It is now our favorite resort we have ever visited because of the Six Senses staff and property. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and that every part of our stay was perfect. The property is exceptional and the service and the food and were beyond our expectations. We stayed in two different room accommodations by choice and each of them was better than the last! The attention to detail on this property is second to none. Our GEM (guest experience manager) Ravah was absolutely fabulous. He is kind, attentive and always assured we had everything we needed! This resort took covid 19 precautions to make sure we always felt comfortable and we never felt worried at all! The resort was spotless and clean and all staff was sensitive to the current pandemic. It was a beautiful honeymoon and escape from the reality of the current world situation and we are beyond grateful for the entire Six Senses staff for making us feel so at home. We will absolutely hope to be back one day and cannot recommend this place enough.

We just spend 7 days at the resort. The food is excellent, service good and resort beautiful. However, we were surprised when we were told to take off our masks and everyone working there were neither wearing masks nor practicing social distancing. Buffet continues, staff talking (without masks) while handling food etc. We felt uncomfortable, if any of the guest or staff has covid, it could potentially spread to everyone else in the resort. A negative pre departure Covid-19 test 4 days before your flight to Maldives is required, however, the traveler could still catch it after the test or be contagious after the test.
In other Maldives resorts, the guests were not required to wear masks, however all the staff are.

Thank you very much for your recent stay at our resort and for sharing this review with us. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback about your experience. Thank you as well for your positive comments, thoughts and impression on our food offerings, resort experiences and the warm service from our hosts. It is also a delight to hear that you appreciate the beauty of the island.

However, I was saddened to learn that you felt uncomfortable about the resort hosts not wearing protective equipment like mask, shield or customized garments being the new normal at this time of pandemic. While we understand your concern on everyone’s safety on the possible spread of corona virus, rest assured that resort staff undergo testing weekly to ensure they are healthy and fit to render service to our valued guests like you. In addition everything that comes to the resort, from luggage to supplies, is sanitized and the entire team when through extensive health, safety and hygiene training before the resort opened and monthly refresher is done since. Additionally, in front and heart of house areas, we have been working round-the-clock to make sure the property is safe for all our guests and hosts, using the latest cleaning materials, disinfectant solutions, as well implementing extensive safety guidelines all over the island. As you will have seen, there are a large number of wash stations and hand sanitizers placed in all public areas for guests and hosts usage.

Thorough cleaning and disinfecting are being done in all our guest villas before check-in and after departure, we also provide personal hygiene kit for each guest upon arrival. All of the resort outlets require advance reservation to observe capacity limits and strict physical distancing regulations. It is also mandated for guests and hosts to check body temperature minimum daily but more if requested.

Our hosts make every effort to guarantee your safety with our detailed disinfection of high-traffic areas, frequently touched facilities and equipment such as counter tops, handrails, door handles, knobs and appliances. In public areas, we take special care to clean and wipe down furniture, walkways, surfaces, restrooms with solution capable of killing bacteria and viruses. We intensely increased cleaning schedules in all areas.

We are mindful to avoid complacency in all our health, safety and hygiene standards and naturally guests are absolutely welcome to wear a mask at all times should they so wish. Our utmost desire is for our guests to feel at home and relaxed knowing that every corner has been cleaned to highest health and safety standards. All of these efforts just so you may fully at ease when you are with us.

My fiance and I went to Six Senses Laamu in November and it was hands down the most luxurious and relaxing trip we've ever taken. Six Senses thinks of every single detail from the pillows to the personalised bikes and so much more. The food is also out of this world. We were expecting the food to be good after reading the reviews but we didn't expect it to be THAT good. We live in London and have been to our fair share of nice restaurants but one of our meals at Zen was easily one of the best meals we've ever had. The breakfast is also ridiculously delicious and everything you could ever want is included.

Our GEM Shifu was the absolute best. She checked in on us the perfect amount without being at all overbearing. She was incredibly kind and helpful and really made our trip. When trying to decide between Six Senses and another resort one thing our tour operator mentioned as a disadvantage to Six Senses vs another resort is that you share your GEM vs having your own. I honestly can't imagine why someone would ever need their own GEM so if that is something you've been considering - trust me you will get as much support as you need from your GEM at Six Senses.

The snorkling is absolutely the highlight but we also loved the dolphin cruise and massages. Honestly, we just loved every single moment. We can't wait come back one day and we never say that about a resort as we'd always prefer to try new places. However, you'll see what I mean once you stay here :)

My only point for improvement is it would be great if they updated the cords for their sound systems in the room so they were compatible with more recent phone models. They have these amazing built in sound systems but without bluetooth or the right cords they aren't compatible on recent iphones or Androids.

Room tip: We loved Jetty A because it's closer to everything
