We stayed for just 1 night as B&B and we were very pleasantly surprised. We had the smallest room which was a little too small but they were fully booked and we only booked 2 days previously to travelling. We arrived and they had booked us a table in the bar for dinner, which was delicious and decadent (for a local pub) see photo for the Duck dish. Then there was Georgia (the barmaid) who really made our stay special. She was attentive but also a genuinely lovely person who joked with us and made us laugh all the way up to closing time. We highly recommend the NoBody Inn and will certainly visit again.

Thank you for your kind review. I am sorry there was not a choice of accommodation for your last minute booking, but we did, it seems, redeem ourselves !! Georgie will be delighted with her name check . And we wish you “fair gamesmanship” in future scrabble matches ! See you again we hope

We own a campsite and stay here every year with our now grown up family before the season hits us.

We could go anywhere but we return here because it ticks all our boxes:

The welcome and service is genuine
The atmosphere is lovely
The food is stunning
The setting is perfect

We play board games and read books. We go running, walking, cycling - spending time with each other reminding ourselves what’s really important in life!

Sue and her team provide everything we need to make that happen every year without fail - nobody does it better!

I visited as part of a group of 7 last Sunday and had one of the best lunches I can remember.

When we arrived there had been a slight mixup with the booking, but the lady behind the bar sprang into action and got us seated straight away at a lovely table with two large benches down either side right in the middle of the room.

I had the roast beef with trimmings that arrived quickly, was a decent sized portion, and cooked perfectly (if I was looking for a fault I would say an extra roast potato or two would be nice!). I had the cheesecake for desert which again was very nice. All my companions also seemed to have enjoyed the food as much as I did.

What really sets this pub apart was the atmosphere and the authentic decor. There are pub chains and gastros who spend thousands to tray and recreate this experience and fail miserably. It feels like you are stepping into a film set and I can't wait to take visitors from abroad or London here to get the 'traditional' country pub experience.

A big factor in creating such a good vibe is that the pub is clearly still used by the locals as well rather than just being people like me on a day trip, this means you still have that pub buzz around the bar which creates such a special atmosphere.

I didn't get to sample but they also have an incredible whisky selection!

In short the food is very good and reasonably priced, but the ambience service and setting is what made this an excellent experience.

Love this pub !! Very cosy atmosphere and a joy to visit no matter the weather as you can either sit inside with a roaring fire or outside in the lovely garden.

The food menu is excellent with high quality locally sourced produce being offered at good prices.

The wine list is literally the size of a telephone book and for whiskey drinkers, you will feel like you are in heaven.

Landlady and Staff are always very friendly and attentive.

We usually stay at the nearby Weeke Barton B&B which is just a £10 taxi ride away. And given the wine list, you’ll need that taxi
