I quite agree with the latest review before mine, this diner really is unbelieveable. We were driving past this place on our way to Lofoten, and wanted some burgers before we took off to Svolvær. How hard can it be to make a decent burger? Not particularly, I would say. I'd even say it's almost impossible to make a bad burger.
It seemed like the staff at Det Lille Kjøkken accepted that challenge with their signature burger "Bjerkviking". With great success, too.
It was almost like they made an effort to make the burger as bad as possible. Every single ingredient was awful, making the burger alltogether hilariously hideous. Yes, hilariously, we actually laughed our hearts out when we analyzed how bad the burger tasted in every possible way.
Rather than making a fine crust on the bread, it seemed like they had dipped it in water to make it super soggy. The meat itself was without any spicing whatsoever, rendering it absolutely tasteless. And the idea of putting fried onion on a burger is just hopeless. But the worst element of all was the dressing, tasting something between an old coleslaw and fish. The disgusting taste influenced all the other ingredients, making it impossible to actually taste the bacon and cheese. Salad was ok, though.
All in all, Det Lille Kjøkken made an impressive effort to make an overwhelming bad product.
I would recommend going there just to see how bad a meal can get. You'd be surprised.
