We stayed 4 nights in a whitesands 2 bedroom waterfront apartment. The room was perfect for us as we had two children with us.
The facilities within the resort were great, lovely heated pool, delicious buffet breakfast and several options for other meals.
We had several small requests at reception during our stay and every time the staff were willing to help immediately and were polite and friendly. I am sure had we asked for better weather ( it rained the entire 4 days) I am sure they would have done their best to provide that too. No request was too big!

If I had to choose a negative ( which was hard) I would say that I wouldn't allow small children on balcony unsupervised. The balcony chairs can be easily climbed onto and then it is a sloped tiled roof slide to the road below.

The resort was fantastic! I had stupidly read some negative reviews and was concerned prior to arriving and thankfully I believe the reviews to be very untrue. Highly
Recommended to all!!

Stayed for one night with my family of 4. Parked up in the little multi-storey that is part of the small complex, wandered to reception with all 4 suitcases, only to be told that our room was actually back behind the car park and up 3 flights of stairs - not nice humping suitcases without a lift. Entered the room to be greeted by 4 single beds for my wife and 2 beds. Shabby looking shalet type room with it's own kitchenette and ancient bathroom. Water ran hot and cold. To top it off a god awful view of a trailer park from our front door - a door that didn't even lock from the inside. No idea what the main hotel was like as we were hearded around the back - avoid !

Room Tip: Ask for a different room if they try to stick you behind the car park - it's a disgrace back the...

Thank you for your review. The Zenith room that you stayed in recently is a budget accommodation offering at the Resort and is sold to our guests as a no views option. These rooms are well equipped and are very popular amongst our guests as they are great value for money and still provide access to our extensive Resort facilities (Aqua Spa, Lagoon style pool, Kids Club, 4 Restaurants and 5 Bars). The rooms can be configured with a King Sized bed and 2 singles when bookings are made in advance. In your case as you were not prebooked our staff were not able to pre-empt your need for this room configuration. Our housekeeping team would have been happy to reconfigure the room. A majority of the Resort Rooms offer water views of stunning Shoal Bay. We would be happy to welcome you back to the Resort in the future to experience one of our more premium room type offerings.

My wife and I had five days at the Shoal Bay Resort & Spa. The initial service at check in was first rate, the staff bent over backwards to assist and that didn't change for our stay, the staff here are so pleasant and helpful. We stayed in one of the Heritage one bedroom apartments overlooking the bay, absolute paradise, they are spacious and well appointed even having a leather couch and recliner. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning in the future. Well done to management & staff.

We sta he'd here for 1 night on a drive from Brisbane to Sydney. Having parked in the hotels multi story car park & unloaded 4 suitcases we presented our selves to reception & we given a Zenith room. The location of the Zenith room was accessed through the car park up 3 flights of stairs, with no offer of help from hotel staff. The room was large and comfortable, but views from the room were shocking, a brick wall and a shanty town complete with grafitti. Not quite the sea view we would have liked. Bathroom was basic and shower ran hot, then cold, then hot ...... At least there was no charge for the car park.

A minimal 1-bedroom apartment with quite a nice view cost us $220 a night in mid-winter. Definitely over priced but one amenity was the lovely spa room and gym (heated lap pool and three different temperature spas), so do take swim wear to at least get some value for money.

From my first phone call to Natalie & Nadine to make some enquiries to our final day all things were handled in a professional, pleasant & friendly manner. Bob at the desk was always helpful and went an extra step to follow through on any of our questions to make our stay a pleasant experience. The Shoal Bay area is very relaxing but there is plenty to do if you want more of that sort of holiday. Thank you team I certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend the resort! Jeanette

Room Tip: We had a Heritage appartment an dthe view was bea!
