Upon our arrival we were greeted by lovely owners. Our campsites were quite large, the grounds were kept well and overall, a beautiful park and a lovely place to stay. However, big smelly dumpsters next to the camp kitchen were pretty disgusting, the amenities had only been cleaned a couple of times on our 8 day stay and the camp kitchen was nothing short of a pigsty. Filthy, filthy floors, filthy stove and tables. It hadn't been cleaned for the 8 days we were there and one bin had been overflowing for 3 days before it was emptied. Very disappointed as I had 3 little children who were subject to these conditions.

Please accept our aplogy for the delay in replying to your response. We have taken note of your comments. The skip bins have now been contained by a fence and are unseen by the campsites and camp kitchen. It is however still at the entrance to the park, we endeavour to keep the trucks out of the park to protect the many children that are riding bikes, scooters and skate boards during peak season. We do acknowledge that the camp kitchen is old and tired and in need of some work. If at anytime you feel that something needs to be done please come into the office and we are more than happy to sort it out. We are disappointed that your stay was not up to standard and have put policies and procedures in place so that this does not happen again.

Just had a 4 might stay & loved every minute. The park has fantastic, family friendly facilities. Putt putt golf, a huge jumping pillow & a safe playground. A very short walk to the ocean. Park managers Shane & Le Anne, & their friendly staff, can't do enough for you. Would highly recommend this park for a week end break or an extended holiday.

Thank you so much for your positive response. The team here at Currarong work hard to promote a family friendly park. It is lovely to see families out enjoying the park facilities, we hope you come back soon!

Stayed in a great cabin (16) with a South Eastern deck facing the creek. Cabin was clean and there was plenty of crockery, cutlery and utensils. Loved the outside sink and bbq. Plenty of room for our family of four.

Beach was a hop skip and jump away. Great walks along the beach. A great break for the family. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend. Cannot wait to go again.

Please accept our aplogy for the delay in replying to your response. Thank your for your positive resonse. The Seaspray cabins are one of our most popular cabins as they have a lovely view of Currarong Creek, this week you could watch paddle boards and kayaks going up and down as families enjoy the lovely sun and water. The b/q on the deck is a great place to watch the water, enjoy the paddleboards or simply enjoy the birds and sunshine and a b/q with the family. See you again some time in the future.

There wasn't much to like about this campsite. Massive dumpsters next to the kitchen were overflowing and stinky. The kitchen itself was dirty and tatty with old equipment, and broken insect screens. The barbecues were either not working or filthy, or both, and had been set so you have to spend $3 for enough gas to cook burgers. And because the campsite is cheap it attracted some fairly rough customers who kept us awake partying into the small hours.

It's located on the northern peninsular of the bay, which is 45-60 minutes drive from the picturesque scenery the bay is best known for (e.g. Booderee National Park, Hyams Beach) as well as the main commercial centre (Huskisson). Currarong itself is quite sleepy, and quite nice if you've bought your own food with you - but not the main event for us. Think next time we'll spend the extra money and stay further South.

Internet services were unreliable, and we couldn't get a phone signal (Vodafone). Probably a plus point for some!

The campsite does have a jumping pillow and some other play equipment which the kids enjoyed - hence this place gets two points instead of one.

Please accept our aplogy for the delay in responding to your response. We are dissapointed that your stay in Currarong was not what you expected. We have taken note of your comments and have put policies and procedures in place to ensure that this does not happen to others. The skip bins are now contained in a fenced off area, it is not visible from the camp kitchen or the camp sites. The kitchen is old and tired and in need of some work. We have had the b/qs serviced by the electrician and the plumber and found little faults with a couple of them, this has now been rectifiied. We work hard at promoting a family friendly campsite we do not encourage parties late into the night. If there ever is a problem please come and see Management and we will address any issues immediately. Currarong is a beautiful coastal villiage, part of Currarong charm is the fact that it only has a general store, a chinese restuarant and a Seafood Restuarnt with the catch of the day straight from the ocean to your plate. Zacs now serves coffee out on the ocean view deck. Should you need groceries Callala Bay and Culburra Beach are only a 15minute drive to the local supermarket. Vodafone is known for its great coverage in the city but has poor coverage in the country. I am glad your children enjoyed the jumping pillow and playground. We now have a mini-golf course which has been an absoloute hit with all ages this summer.

Stayed in self-contained cabin with deck. Nice clean basic newish cabin. Value for money for a couple. Plenty of food places locally. Need a car. Close to beach. Safe and low noise in off season. Staff friendly. Organised for late arrivals. Might be a bit crowded in high season.

Thank your for taking the time to respond. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay in Currarong. Winter is very serene at Currarong and summer is a hive of activity. We love the winter but summer has such a great atmosphere about it, its something you need to experience.
