We were delighted with our stay at Kate's Farm.
it is definitely a get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was so comforting arriving from the cold and being greeted by Kate, her puppies, and her guests, and being invited to have a glass of port by the roaring fire.
The farm is lovely, and is 10 min drive to River Cottage, and the city of Axminster.
The room very large, and comfortable (ours was not en suite, but we had a wash basin in the room, and the bathroom down the hall all to ourselves). They have dogs (and a very cute puppy) and are very dog-friendly. The full English breakfast was more than ample. Kate was very accommodating, helped with all our travel suggestions, and recommended taxi services, and local attractions. It was very reasonably priced, and I would recommend it for an overnight weekend. Keep in mind, Axminster is not very exciting apart from the River Cottage canteen which is nice for lunch, but if you have a car you are close to places like Lyme Regis.
