We had a great two night stay here in this lovely, characterful farmhouse. We had the smaller family room with a double bed and bunkbeds for our two young sons and there was plenty of space.

Kate was great with the boys and they adored her three dogs.

It was really peaceful and we the location was ideal for our fossil hunting trip on Charmouth Beach.

Breakfast was lovely as well as leisurely.

Kate's very friendly and offered us a glass of wine in the evening which was much appreciated. She also plays a mean game of Scrabble - you have been warned!

Overall, this is highly recommended.

I booked kate,s farm a few months back, only because of all the good feed back I have been reading. as you can tell by my title, I work as a project manager builder in godalming (the manor house ) and I am very fussy person,
On arrival to kates farm this 500yrs old or more farm was exactly as I imagined This amazing farm had quirky feature's like slanted door frames sloping floors and of course the open fire place,This was just a warm welcoming place to stay.
The children where welcomed by 3 lovely small dogs , BOB FERN,MAISY Child friendly
THE FAMILY ROOM
This room was perfect for all of us clean and tidy,
we had one small problem was when the sink in the bathroom came loose and as such a good builder as I am, I offered to repair this for kate s as she had gone the extra mile for us,
BREAKFAST
this was wonderful. pre, order the night before,
NOW! the sausages are to die for, it was everything we expected and more.
well done kate
will be seeing very soon

Room Tip: this is a very old place so please do not expect a modern place this is over 500yrs old and is wonderful, if you like farm and rural life this is for you quiet all round enjoy

We stayed in early August and were looking for a place with character and space. We found it. Kate and Ed and the dogs gave us a great welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was wonderful to have the run of the big garden. Superb breakfasts and a great peaceful location for touring the area which has loads to offer. We would love to come back again.

We stayed in the family room which was spacious and had an ensuite shower room. It had a large double bed, a single & bunk beds - great to find a room that can accommodate 3 children. The room was very clean & comfortable. There were tea & coffee facilities in the room. The farm was in a great location, very peaceful and full of character. Only ten minutes drive to Lyme Regis. We were welcomed with tea & coffee in the garden when we arrived and were able to use the guest lounge as well as our bedroom. The children loved the chickens and Kate's dogs. Breakfast was lovely. Kate was a great host, very helpful and made us feel at home. We definitely hope to return again.

We stayed at Kate's Farm a few weeks back and really loved it. The house itself is unique and very comfortable (great beds!), the breakfasts are delicious, the surroundings charming and peaceful, and most importantly Kate is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. My son (7 YO) loved the grounds, the chickens, and the large nature reserve just across the street. I can't say enough about how well this lodging worked out for us - Kate greeted us with a glass of wine, got us oriented to the area, and helped us out a great deal when one of our traveling companions became ill. If we ever return to the area we'll definitely stay here again.
