“A special place because of 2 special people!”
Reviewed April 30, 2013

We stay here 2 nights and had a wonderful experience!

We have made two trips with Mario and one with Manon. In the jungle we saw a lot of different little frogs, butterflies and some beautiful snakes. We went already several times to Costa Rica and look for some special frog, but never found it before. Because of Mario with his outstanding knowledge of the environment, we saw this frog just when we open the door of our car. After that he found many other kind of frogs. Also around the tipis and the Palenque there was a lot of wildlife to see.

The meals were very good and dinner is special with the cozy lighting. Sleeping in the tipi was a great experience, because of the direct connection with nature. Something we always will remember!

Beside everything was arranged very well, the two owners add an extra special touch to everything.

When we are back in Costa Rica, for sure we will stay there again.

We stayed at Tipi Jungla for our last night in Costa Rica. We saw from these reviews that it was highly recommended and this place really exceeded our expectations. Tipi Jungla does not offer accomodation alone - it is a whole experience. For us, this included an incredible waterfall trip, frog tour and hike in the jungle. No tourists (except us!) Mario and Manon are so relaxed and really made us feel like friends visiting them at home. They were incredibly accomodating and helpful to us. The tipis are beautiful and comfortable. There is a platform to relax with hammocks and a great view over the jungle to the Pacific. I wish we could have stayed longer. Really fantastic - you have to experience it to understand!

This magical spot outside of Dominical, is the perfect place to reunite with nature. This is an amazing opportunity to unplug and recharge your own batteries.
Mario and Manon, the owners, created a unique place, surrounds with animals and insects, plants and flowers and the sound of the ocean and the jungle. So beautiful and romantic,
Also don't miss the guided tours with Mario - it is an amazing experience!

We did a lot of research prior to our trip on unique, non-resort style places to stay. When we came across Tipi Jungla online (thank you, TripAdvisor!) we immediately knew it was going to be an experience we would never forget.

When we arrived, we drove down a dirt road and quickly found ourselves in the beautiful jungle. We then walked up to a table that had a sign welcoming us with our names on it -- what a great touch that was. The whole lot is very peaceful with wonderful views from the main area.

Manon and Mario (the owners) were so welcoming and very friendly. They made us pineapple juice and showed us to our tipi which was very clean and cozy. We both felt like little kids in there.

We wish we were able to stay longer. If we go back to Costa Rica, staying there for more than one night is on our list!

Manon and Mario, thank you for an amazing time!

Vanessa and Evan

We have been in Costa Rica for a month, so we experienced a lot of different places. We stayed at Tipi Jungla 3 days and we can definitely affirm it was THE most memorable moment of our trip.

The place is 1km from the road, in the jungle, so very quiet. The Tipi is very confortable and the experience of sleeping in the jungle with the sound of insects and animals was very exciting. We almost had no annoyance from mosquitoes during the night and the place was not too hot. We were there with our four years old daughter who loved the experience and didn't complain at all about comfort.

It is very impressive to be there in the middle of the jungle. The view on the palanque in the morning beautiful (you can see the Atlantic from a distance). We had the chance to see a lot of animals there: monkeys (early in the morning), birds, dartfrog, serpents.

Mario and Manon were really friendly and attentive to our needs. We had dinner one evening with them and the food was excellent. We felt they were really doing everything so that we had a perfect experience. We were taken for a walk in the forest to a waterfall, did some horsebackriding on the beach with Manon and Mario took us to make a firecamp on the beach one evening.

Tipi Jungla was really the best experience overall and the price was more than excellent for the service we had.

I spent a night at Tipi Jungla in December 2012 with my wife and seven year old son. It's a truly unique and magical place and we loved it. Mario and Manon are incredibly kind hosts and wonderful people. The setting is true, beautiful jungle and we saw lots of monkeys, a sloth, and all kinds of cool birds. The Tipis are great too - you definitely get the nature experience yet they are very comfortable and clean. Our son totally loved it there and Mario and Manon were great with him. We hope to go back some day!

We can highly recommend to stay at Tipi Jungla if you are travelling along the coastline near Domincal. Mario and Manon will let you feel right at home in this beautifull place in the middle of the jungle with a spectacular view over the jungle to the ocean from the pelanque. Mario breaths nature and will for sure take you guys out in the jungle looking for poison dart frogs and all the other bush animals you can find. The pelangue is a beautifull spot to relax and enjoy sunsets. We have stayed with Mario and Manon for 4 nights and if we go back to Costa Rica we will definately go back to this wonderfull place. Mario and Manon - you are wonderfull people, passionate about the environment and very keen on giving your guests a wonderfull time at your place. Cannot wait to see you guys again.
