Thank you very much for a wonderful weekend in North Wales. We have an annual reunion of 9 couples, and this has to rank as the top accommodation that I’ve booked so far!
The house is in a great location, well appointed and steeped in history. It is perfectly suited to large groups, with large dining room, lovely big sitting room with log fire and plenty of parking.
The owners were very helpful and communicative during the booking process, and we’re contactable if any problems had arisen (which wasn’t needed)
An excellent property, well deserving of a full five star review!!
Spent from Friday 13th Oct to Mon16th Oct 2017 here we rented the main house and the Y Popty the adjoining cottage from Mike and Wilma. We took 14 adults and 4 children with us to celebrate my wifes 70th birthday and it was just perfection. I told Mike that I wanted to keep it a secret from my wife and he helped by e mailing me on a private laptop. The house has many en suite bedrooms and those that are not have a bathroom next door so no problem. The property is very homely and has a very relaxed feel about it. We ordered our food from Asda who delivered to the door with a smile and a guy who carried it all into the kitchen for us. The views from the house towards the sea are delightful and the younger members of the party ventured to the beach on two occasions, it was just one of those unforgettable times. The two properties we rented we very well furnished with tables chairs etc along with plates cups mugs and every thing you might need. The lounge had an open fire and even the kindling and logs were supplied in the price, totally magic
So trust this review|< I thought previous reviews were possibly a slight exageration of the property but not the case, this place was brill and I recommend it to all who are looking for a lovely coastal property for whatever occasion
The lounge and dinning room in the main house were huge and we sat all 18 around the dinning table for the birthday dinner on the Sat night
Many many thanks Mike and Wilma
So those reading this review ring Wilma and Mike you will not regret it
Many many thanks

Set in a very tranquil welsh village, this is an amazing house set at the bottom of a private drive, the location is peaceful with views over the sea. the house has everything you could need for your holiday, the kitchen is very well equiped, the house is spacious, all the rooms are clean and well furnished.
Pentre Bach Cottages and the garden were excellent for our family group of 12 adults and 11 children (aged 1 - 9). There is ample accommodation and equipment offering plenty of opportunities for the group to be together or to split up for smaller activities. The children thoroughly enjoyed playing in the garden and the private field and the adults appreciated the chance to watch the sun setting over the sea from the comfort of the house or the garden. It was great to be able to walk to the beach through the small village and at the same time admire the ingenuity and skills of the "yarn bombers" (local residents make and display knitted or crocheted characters or decorations). We will hopefully visit again. Thank you Mike and Wilma.
We booked Pentre Bach for friends and family to celebrate our daughters birthday. It was perfect and suited all our needs with the added bonus that dogs are made very welcome. The house and cottages are comfortable and well decorated with lots of room for big gatherings or to find a wee corner to relax.
The gardens are great for a bbq with stunning views of the coast. We would definitely stay again, top class accommodation
Spent a perfect weekend for a family get together at the beginning of May 17. There were 8 Adults and 7 young children. Everything from start to finish was perfect (even the weather!!) Pentre back main house was just brilliant and we also booked Y POPTY which had an adjoining door into the large kitchen which made the place feel even larger! Everywhere was spotlessly clean, the bedrooms were fantastic, some with brilliant views and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need to self cater. Bathrooms have lovely soft white towels :)
We made the best of the lovely weather and played Rounders every night watching the beautiful sunsets. Loads of books to read to suit everyone and plenty of games to play if the weather is not great.
The cottages are within 10 minutes of lovely sandy beaches and Barmouth is around a 15 minute drive which is a small seaside town. The kids loved the Arcade! The area is a haven for walkers, bikers and there is fishing nearby.
Asda deliver in the area which we took full advantage of.
Would definitely recommend these cottages, Wilma and Mike provided loads of useful information prior to our visit and welcomed us on arrival.
I would recommend this rental to large and small groups.
The main house and attached cottages are situated in a small village and have beautiful views of the sea.
Every room has been kept in keeping with the age of the property and provide for all of your needs.
We were a group of 19 walkers and use all the properties. We self catered and the equipment was plentiful for our needs.
For those people wishing to explore south Snowdonia you could choose a better place.
We spent a week at Pentre Bach and had tons of fun. The owners were on hand if we needed advice but did not interfere with our privacy through out the week.
