We checked in during weekdays as we don't want to join the weekend guests. I must say we had a very pleasant stay!
The hotel has a very nice layout, open air and relaxing ambiance. Everything looks mint clean and new, including the furniture and fixture.
We had the Pacifica Room which was facing the Pacific Ocean. Wow!! The view was breathtaking! There's also a balcony complete with colorful furniture. Even the wine glasses has summer colors. The room is spacious with 2 double beds and an extra bed. The shower and restroom were nice too complete with toiletries. Plus there were complimentary fruits which I brought to the restaurant to have it shaked. Thanks for that!! Can I also commend that they source their coffee from a local supplier, it even had the name of the supplier just in case we needed to reach him. Thanks for supporting local farmers.
The pool was big enough for me to do my morning laps, which I was able to enjoy solo on our second day. There were nice outdoor furniture also perfect for lounging and relaxing amidst the ocean air.
Food was great, catered by the RainTree Group so you can be assured of its quality. There's a wide selection for breakfast. Their wood fired pizza with Baler longaniza, pako and bell peppers is highly recommended. If only we can try all the special dishes there but we only had a few days to spare.
Staff were very accommodating, helpful and courteous. You can say that they like what they are doing by the way they do their job. I heard that most of them are locals too so this is a good training for them to serve foreign and local guests. Special mention to Ms. Pettina Mae Cruz, the Guests Relations Manager for assisting us during our stay.
Don't expect the beach to be pristine white because most of the guests come here for the waves. So you gotta manage your expectation when it comes to the quality of sand. One way to enjoy the ocean though is to learn how to surf, which I did for the first time! Thanks to one of their instructors, Lynard. He was very patient in teaching me how to surf. I was amazed how I was able to balance surfing with a few tries. Of course I fell a few times before getting used to it. I also saw him giving me the "ok sign" saying I did it!!
THANK YOU, Costa Pacifica for a wonderful stay. I shall be back!!
