“New & Modern Beach Style Accommodation”
Reviewed March 7, 2014

My husband and I booked our trip to Baler Quezon at the SMX Travel Expo last month. We were impressed with the rooms and promo which included breakfasts and City tour for 3 days and 2 nights. Costa Pacifica is conveniently accessible through a Joy bus from Cubao terminal non stop to Baler. The Joy bus had excellent adjustable full reclining seats and air conditioning. A shuttle was waiting for us when we arrived in Baler. I was pleased with the hotel staff who warmly greeted us at the front desk and gave us an early check in at 7am. We were able to rest for a few hours at our room which was very spacious, new, clean beddings, and comfortable bed. The room also has a huge comfortable sofa for lounging. No wifi in the rooms, flat screen tv had occasionally low signal. So we had to use the wifi at the lobby, so happy with their huge comfortable sofas to lounge.

An important tip to the traveler --The City tour included in the package was misleading, it only includes the tour guide and not the transportation. We had to rent the van for 2000 pesos for max of 5 hours. Raymond, our tour guide was excellent. He not only was very knowledgeable, but will maximize the tour experience by taking us to numerous sites. In addition, he assisted me thru the challenging trekking to the Mother Falls when we crossed the river through slippery rocks. We went to the Dicasalarin cove with an awesome view as well.

Food at Costa Pacifica was so so. We had pugon (oven) baked pizza with Baler longaniza (local sausage) and frozen calamansi margarita, both best sellers. It was ok. We went next door for dinner at the Bay View resto. They had excellent tasting sizzling seafood and kinilaw (raw blue Marlin). Excellent frozen margaritas too! The prices were lower and more varieties.

Baler is a surfing destination. Not too many people swimming at the beach because the waves were quite big and strong. Costa Pacifica has several pools for swimming; hanging out by the pool was very relaxing. They always have fresh iced cucumber water available. And hotel staff continuously make you feel at home, they were always courteous and friendly.

If ever, I would suggest Costa Pacifica to add a gym and spa rooms. These amenities will definitely increase guests volume. Overall, Costa Pacifica is THE PLACE to stay in Baler!

Room Tip: It will be ideal to book rooms facing the beach, but quite costly. Garden view rooms are ok. Just n...

I booked for 2 pacifica suite for my family and enjoyed it very much..Staffs are sooo accommodating and friendly. I was about to give a tip but kyle the attendant politely declined.we arrived at around 12nn and we were checked in immediately despite the 2pm check in policy.ammenities are excellent, beddings are the best and most comfortable.room rates are fair enough (a steal actually). Just a bit disappointed with their beach house food. Small servings , sometines dry or burnt yet pricey..however their complimentary buffet breakfast is really comparable to a 5 star hotel.no wifi on rooms you have to go.near the beach houae resto for it.

We stayed here for two days for a business trip. And I must say it was the most beautiful and most modern hotel in baler. The staff were also accommodating and very helpful. If you are looking for a modern hotel this is the place to stay. The rooms were spacious. Although it is not cheap but you will not be disappointed for what you paid for. I will definitely go back here again!

Six of us stayed at Costa Pacifica for four nights during the Christmas season and loved every moment of our vacation there, beginning with the courteous welcome my family received after an exhausting seven-hour drive from Manila. Guest Relations Manager Pettina Cruz addressed all our questions and requests graciously and expeditiously, including an upgrade to a second-floor ocean view room and arranging for local tours.

Costa Pacifica has so much going for it. It looks over a wonderful beach for boogie boarding and surfing that is enjoyed by Baler residents and tourists. Happily, the residents far outnumber the tourists on the beach, so (if you are a tourist) as soon as you go for a walk or swim you feel like you're being welcomed in to a real place, not a sanitized, private version of a tropical paradise. You can also explore miles of pristine beaches extending north and south of Baler, as well as mountain hikes and waterfalls inland.

At the same time, Costa Pacifica brings a cosmopolitan standard to its premises. The chef has created a menu that is both creative and satisfying, and features local ingredients -- making for some of the best meals we had in the Philippines. The rooms facing the ocean have spectacular views through the sliding-glass porch doors -- you can watch the sunrise from your bed, or turn off the air conditioning and enjoy the ocean breeze. The interior finishes in the rooms are perfect for a beachside hotel, and the rooms are kept spotlessly clean by the staff.

My sister and her 11- and 9-year-old daughters enjoyed surfing with Costa's surf instructors; my husband and I stuck with boogie boarding and found Sabang to be one of the best beaches anywhere for boogie boarding (and I grew up on the windward side of Oahu). One of the only things I wish were different about Costa is that they should have more boogie boards available to rent -- we had to share one between us.

Check-out went smoothly and quickly and I was delighted to be presented with a full, precise accounting of our expenses, from meals to local tours.

Room Tip: Splurge for the second-floor ocean view rooms. They are a bit pricey but worth it.

Baler was our last destination of a 6day road trip adventure that brought us Mla-Baguio-Vigan-Laoag-Pagudpud-Tuguegarao-Aurora. One can imagine our exhaustion after all the traveling. Costa Pacifica transported us to another place called paradise. The place was so envigorating that we can do the road trip again! We got a Pacific Suite, costly, but worth it! The view was heavenly. The staff very friendly, knowledgeable, proactively responding to our needs. Must come back!

We planned to go to Baler on friends recommendations. My research as to where it was went so far as to check Google maps and get the distance from Angeles City to work out how long it would take...3 to 3 1/2 hours! Try 6 hours.. what an amazing experience, driving through the Sierra Madre mountains, stunning views. What a beautiful country, i can't wait to go there again. when we got to Baler it was later then we anticipated being there and we didn't know where to go. We headed for the ocean and saw light so we drove on. We checked in the first place we saw which was the Costa Pacifica resort. i don't know who operates it or owns it but I can only say..Congratulations... Everything was just perfect and I was impressed in the extra effort that they put into making it a great experience. The staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful. The views were great and the rooms were excellent. I would recommend this resort to anyone. its fantastic. we already booked a return soon.

Room Tip: Beach side rooms have great views.
